We loved the quiet neighborhood and the great views from the deck. The house was perfect for our family getaway. We hope to return soon.

We loved our visit and relaxation time that the cabin afforded. The back deck was a delight. The chairs and couch in the living room was sooo comfy. The driveway was very steep and a bit treacherous with the snow but that’s to be expected for a mountain home. For the love of everything sanitary, please remove the shag carpet from the bathroom. Overall, 10/10 We would love to come back again!

Place is great, clean and user friendly. Get a new hot tub cover please. Will stay there again and again if available

We loved our stay here in Idyllwild . The hot tub was quite a treat after a day of hiking, The views from the back of home are amazing(views from the front are nice too!). FYI if you like cooking with non-stick, bring a pan. There was plenty to use for cooking but we missed a non-stick pan. We would definitely stay here again.

The setting of this mountain home is so beautiful. The home is very clean. I highly recommend staying here on your mountain get away.

This is the second time my family and I stay in this cabin. It’s cozy and convenient.

We had a wonder two nights in your spacious and clean home. The hot tub was wonderful and beds were very comfortable. The only minor concerns and questions were the bathroom fan not working and why rugs in the bathrooms? They were clean but seemed strange. Again these were very minor to our overall appreciation and satisfaction with our stay. Thank you, and we will be back!

Pros: Deck, mountain views, hot tub and squirrel watching. Cons: Needs a DEEP cleaning so don’t look too closely! Coffee maker unusable. Showers not quality. No instructions for tv use.

Everything we hoped for!

This spacious cabin was an ideal getaway from the desert heat. Unfortunately, we were there during the hottest Idyllwild temperature ever recorded! Luckily they provided several box fans and we spent most of our time sprawled on the deck enjoying the wooded scenery or lounging around the great room watching Netflix.

Loved the area and the house! Beautiful and relaxing stay!

We loved this place. The location is great and the peaceful sound of Strawberry Creek was relaxing. The house needs a bit of a spring cleaning but otherwise we really enjoyed our stay. If you are coming during the cold months bring extra blankets as it can get really chilly!

It was a great experience nice cabin. Excellent location.Had every thing we needed. The only thing we found when we walked in the cabin had a musty odor like it was from the carpet. Thanks for letting us stay there. Cindy Florez

The location is the best since we have been coming to Idyllwild for our yearly family get away. The rooms are spacious, the views from any window are breathtaking. The only downside is that the oven was so filthy we were not able to bake. There was holes in the lower restroom, and there were not enough soap to wash the hot tub towels for re use (good thing I brought my own detergent). Will probably rent this again.

Downstairs bathroom didn’t work and sewer was backed up into the yard. Otherwise it was nice. Could have used some blankets though. Also no trash bags stocked.

My 4 kids, 2 dogs and I loved this house. It was very comfortable and spacious. The back porch overlooked the forest and each morning I was able to look out the kitchen window at the picturesque mountain view. Everything wasn't the most updated but it made it feel more like home. The jacuzzi was just the right temperature and my kids thoroughly enjoyed that the most. My only complaint...and the only reason I mention any complaint is for the next person. We ended up arriving at night and the numbering on the houses seems to go out of order...if I remember correctly...it went 24600 then 24630 and 24640...24620 came after that. Either way, the number was on a tree facing the opposite direction than the direction the car was driving and was difficult to see. The next morning I saw another number on a tree going up the driveway but that was a little hidden as well. A very kind man helped us find the house. With ALL that being said...that is my only complaint otherwise we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Thank you!

Great Nature stay.

Thanks for a great stay. The house was perfect for the 5 of us. So glad the bunk beds were broken down as my two adult boys appreciated not having to fight over who had to climb stairs. House was clean, loved the back porch. Light switches and TV was alittle confusing but we figure it out. Glad we had our own batteries for the report. Kitchen worked out great as we cooked all our meals at the house. Plenty of pots and pans. Alittle why in bowls for mixing and salad but we figured it all out. For a blazing hot weekend the house stayed nice and cool with all the fans. Close to our hiking trails. Really enjoyed the house and would recommend it to all.

The pros. The location, fenced yard for our pups, hot tub, deck, the creek below. Walking distance to a few hikes in area. The cons. Property could use some clean up. Spiders falling on us from ceiling, flies everywhere outside and inside. I understand it’s late summer in the mountains but I think a pressure wash and some simple clean up would go a long way. The vacuum cleaner didn’t work (Turned on but didn’t do anything). Carpeted bathrooms that weren’t shown in photos.

This cabin was everything I could have ever wished for! The Second I pulled up I felt so happy and relaxed, Being surrounded by all those beautiful, tall trees and rocks. Then to go out on the deck to see the gorgeous creek in the back, simply heaven. The Jacuzzi was clean and added so much calmness to this vacation. The house was VERY clean, town was only a six minute drive. My fiancé and I shared some amazing meals using the Bbq and the fully equipped kitchen, we will definitely be back!

Lots of space. Nice relaxing environment, listening to the stream was great. Quiet roads to go on walks. Having card and board games available was helpful for our 8 year old. Wifi made the 11 & 14 year olds happy. The photos make it look a more updated than it is. The old carpets made me less nervous about our doggy bringing in dirt after our walks (we still wiped her paws). New environments can freak her out. She was constantly searching for something in the house and we realized why when a mouse came out of hiding. One of the kids had a hard time sleeping after that. If you have bad allergies, not the place for you. The carpets stir up a lot of dust. No broom was available to sweep the deck. Kitchen drawers had lots of crumbs in them. They ask that you do a load of laundry but there wasn't any detergent. We bought some in town because we ended up needing to do a load of our own. We're used to camping, so for the most part, we got over these things, especially since the price was reasonable.

Renting this property was very easy. The property was exactly as pictured. The outside deck is very relaxing and has great views. Overall we were very pleased with our stay and we will consider visiting this property again

The only nice part of this rental home was the outside patio. The inside had webs, bugs, spiders etc. Bathrooms needed to be bleached out. Worse of all the house had the worse odor from cat/dog urine. Upstairs bathroom had no privacy due to door doesn’t lock. If anyone hate bugs or urine odor or cleanliness this isn’t the place for you.

The house while ideally located and spacious smelled terrible and had dead bugs all over the windows. I was relieved to leave.

The backyard is breathtaking with the suddle noise of the creek and the spa at night was the icing on the cake!! Be sure to bring BUG SPRAY!!!!! You’ll also need your own cleaning supplies from bleach to dishwasher detergent and your own broom and extra trash bags and bring spices, & oil too! Well stocked on plates and pots and pans! Plenty of fans and blankets too! Your own completely fenced in yard too for the pooches!!!

We stayed in this house for three nights. It was very snowy outside. We thought the house was very comfortable. We come from a house that is very small and hard, and it was lovely to be in the house so big and soft. It was clean when we arrived. The beds were all comfortable, there were lots of towels, there were lots of dishes, the kitchen was fairly well equipped with the usual dull knives. The fireplace was a highlight, The hot tub was very nice once we figured out how to use it. The rear deck is exceptional, it looks out directly onto Strawberry Creek and Suicide Rock. Lowlights: The showers are a mess. The upstairs shower has no pressure whatsoever so you just don't use it, whereas the downstairs shower exerted so much pressure you thought the house was going to fall apart. But there was lots of hot water if you could just manage to get it on your body somehow. The lights were interesting, the fixtures were installed by a trained professional who then let his 3-year-old decide where the switches would be located. Overall we spent three very happy winter nights here, and I would recommend it to anybody who needs to get away from the madness in the valley.

This is our 2nd stay at the Strawberry Creek Cabin and as always it was a blast. From the views to the hot tub and fire place we always enjoy our little mini vacations to Idyllwild and the cabin.

it's in a good location, the spa is perfect, the house is tidy, and there were enough rooms to house 3 families. We will come again.
