I was never informed that after a storm their elevators did not work a month later… the hotel and Hotels.com failed to inform us about the situation. First we were offered our room that we paid for (on the 9th floor), then because of time after just landing and our plans for our vacation…
we negotiated to get a smaller room on the 6th floor just to avoid the stair climb with luggage. We were not compensated in any way by the hotel. Nothing. No free drinks, no discount. Nothing. We were offered cancel your room and take it. Well, by the time you arrive at your hotel on a vacation… who has the time to replan? Horrible lack of communication on both the hotel and hotel.com. I’m now rethinking using hotel.com as my go to in the future and looking at other vacation apps. Disappointed

Hotel was nice. I usually dont like to complain but I feel I have to in this stuation. Unfortunately the elevators were out. We were supposed to have a room on the 3rd floor, but got moved to the 8th. 4 days of climbing 8 flights of stairs, at 61 yrs. old, makes for a tough stay. We also had no room service during our stay. I feel we should get some kind of refund. Others patrons, that booked with the hotel, were getting 50% off their stay!! Thedesk said they couldn't with us due to the fact that we booked thru Hotels.com. Not ideal

This was our second time staying at Hotel Alba. When I booked the room, right after the hurricane, it did say on their website that the elevators were down. I booked the room approximately a month and a half prior to our coming to Tampa and hoped the elevator would be fixed. Not a big deal as we were only on the 4 th so the exercise was appreciated and the rate was good. Room was very clean, beds weee comfy.
Front desk was friendly and efficient. Loved the bar atmosphere.

We stayed here during the hurricane, having been evacuated from Saint Petersburg Island. Stayed four nights and eventually flew home to the West Coast or last night. The parking lot was completely flooded with water well over the doorhandles of the cars parked in the hotel parking lot. Gratefully, I found parking for my rental car in a multi level garage Nearby. The lobby was completely flooded and all the power was out. I think the staff did an excellent job in the face of these challenges.

What an amazing stay. There had been some issues with people losing reservations, Jess made sure I was able to keep mine. Jess was incredibly friendly and the entire staff was amazing. Lots of great recommendations for places to visit. Might be the best hotel experience I’ve had

Aside from repairs still ongoing from hurricanes, i did like the ambiance and feel of the hotel. We didnt get to utilize the pool or bars...1 drink each from the pool bar. Was very nice place to stay. Could have used the AC right next to my bed but i slept very good for 2 nights.😉

We had a scheduled arrival on 10/19/24 at Hotel Alba Tapesty by Hilton in Tampa. Our reservation was unexpectedly canceled without prior notice. We had planned our trip months in advance to attend a football game. Upon arrival, we were informed by the hotel staff that they were unable to check us in. Notably, they had not contacted us prior to the trip and only informed us of the cancellation upon our request for the airport shuttle. This resulted in a five-hour delay at the Airport.
Upon reaching out to Hilton, we discovered that they were unable to accommodate our request for alternative accommodations, except for one of their hotels that was significantly more expensive. Both Hilton and Hotels.com insisted that we were responsible for the difference in cost. The Hilton blamed Hotels.com, while Hotels.com blamed Hilton, neither party attempting to find a mutually agreeable solution. Given that most hotels were already fully booked, the hotel advised us that we were welcome to stay in the lobby but offered no further assistance. Consequently, we opted to stay at the Marriott hotel, which was approximately half an hour away and charged us nearly $400 more for the room alone. Instead of being conveniently located three minutes from the stadium, we were forced to take an Uber ride that cost $90 and spent a total of 1.5 hours traveling to the game. In total, we incurred over an additional $200 in transportation expenses, including the additional cost of the Marriott hotel room.

I’ve never left a review for a hotel before but I left this hotel with a bad taste in my mouth. I was supposed to go on a cruise as my bachelorette party, but because of hurricane Helene it was cancelled. Once we got the cancellation info, we were scrambling for a place to stay and found this one. The room itself was nice- spacious, cute, well-configured. We had 6 girls staying for 2 nights. A couple of them had to leave early so I called at 9am requesting to cancel the second night for one room, but the general manager would not refund the night, even though hotels in the area were selling out as people who lost their homes were looking for places to stay. They also did not service the room (make beds, change towels) which is ridiculous considering the rate they charged. One room had the do not disturb sign on so I don’t fault them for that one, but the other one did not. They’re undergoing renovations, so they have brown bag grab-and-go breakfast which is fine. The breakfast sandwich was terrible, but the apple was good. The coffee in the lobby in the mornings was fresh and hot. They have free shuttles to the hard rock casino which is nice. In short, the property is nice but don’t expect the general manager to work with you if things don’t go as planned — even in a crisis.

Alba is definitely a vibe and aesthetically pleasing. Staff was nice, friendly and continued to check on us. Rooms were clean bar and restaurant were nice.

My room was very clean, the A/C was amazing. The beds where also very comfortable and the white sheets were clean without any stains. I needed some water to take my medicine at night and went to the front desk to ask if there was a vending machine anywhere since it was already very late and the restaurant was closed, the young lady up front right away brought me two water bottles free of charge
Another thing I loved about the room was the bathroom, it's a walk in shower, very specious and equipped with body soap, shampoo, conditioner and body lotion. Although I bring and use my own, is nice to know they have that option available.
The pool area was very pretty. I did not get to go in the pool as I spent my time during the day out and about with friends, but it looked really pretty and relaxing.
If and when I visit Tampa again will definitely be booking at this same hotel.
