Exactly what we expected for what we paid! Front desk was very nice, did not speak English. Had a retro feel to it. Bathroom was meh.

Hotel staff was polite. Facility was old but the room charge was very reasonable. Good location to take ferry to Shimanami islands.

I knew we better booked cheap hotel. We had 3 rooms. One was liveable. One had blood stains on sheets and scratches on wall as if someone was murdered in room. The other was ok but smelled very bad so we had to have window open to tolerate room. It was very noisy with window open.
Hotel needs a 100k makeover and would be totally A1. But to be fair the staff were helpful and it didn’t cost much.

A very enjoyable stay, rooms areold but good and the service is off the charts. Make sure you have breakfast and take in a bit of morning TV.

Cosy and easy to find, nice staff. My room had a fair bit of someone's long hair on the floor :s so I guess it hadn't been vaccumed. Everything else was clean though. All in all, excellent value.

He also had no issue conversing with me with my poor Japanese. We bought washing powder but he insisted we return it for a refund as he provided it and that is unusual. Overall we had a great experience in Mihara.
