Plantation Bay had always been a favorite getaway of mine. The staff are friendly and very helpful. The facilities are beautiful and peaceful. I love the fact that they always encourage family time and put down cell phones when possible. They also discourage noise so all guests can relax. I stay at this facility every year. Though pricy compared to other hotels, it is worth every penny. Always leaving this hotel wanting to come back. I didn’t want to leave. The lagoons and pools are large and beautiful. Open your door and step right into the water. This place is heaven to me. ♥️

Overpriced and staff not friendly Don’t want to talk in Tagalog- as in too hypocritical of the language. A Filipino who prefers to talk in English rather than their own language. Shame on the receptionist guy!

Check in was smooth and staff seemed very friendly. However we had some issues: 1. One of us wasn’t feeling too well and only wanted soup for breakfast that one of us will bring to her in her room since soup was not in the room service menu. The staff at the restaurant told us that for them to make that provision, their nurse had to assess our companion first. Just to order soup. They eventually relented and prepared when we told the restaurant supervisor/manager that 4 of our groups were doctors and didn’t that was necessary. Otherwise our friend would have been charged for the soup and the medical assessment. 2. During our first day I was told the the complimentary drinks in the fridge were refillable, then took that back when asked for refills on our 2nd day. 3. I understand that they want a ‘quiet area’ for the entire resort, but to actually confiscate my cellphone when I tried to bring it inside the gym when I forgot to bring my EarPods think was too much 4. They charge 50Php for a small bag of ice cubes when it’s free in almost all hotels I’ve been to. 5. Because we were a large party, we were told that we need to personally go to the restaurant to reserve, pre-order, and pay. It’s not enough that you call to reserve or order by phone. You have to go to the facility. I’m not sure why they can’t charge the meal to the room.

Spa (massage is very good), food is pretty good. Transportation is limited, not free transportation considering the property is too far to the city and other establishment.

A lot of things to do within the resort. Resort is clean and quiet. Staff are friendly and accommodating. Will definitely come back!

Fantastic hotel with an incredible lush setting around a lagoon. Walking distance to a small beach with great snorkeling. Room was clean, spacious and really comfortable. Service was amazing. Shuttle around the property for luggage delivery and to access all of the restaurants and amenities. Spa was beautiful and relaxing. Would highly recommend this hotel and we will definitely stay there again.

Orbitz Customer Service has been very helpful all the time. I encountered problems during my stay but Orbitz never failed me. They are very accomodating and is always willing to resolve the issue

This was my third time to stay at Plantation Bay. I love the concept and the ease of getting around. Any comment i have would be on the food side. I find the menu to be a bit better than basic, hiwever still tasty. If you would like a good steak or lobster, its not there. I belive the staff could handle a fine dining experience, they were great. Would i go back? Yes i would!

This place is amazing, but the food lets it down big time. The rooms, pools, activities and staff are all brilliant but the food choices are limited. I am vegetarian and looked at the menus before we booked and there seemed a reasonable choice but several dishes were not available and what I did eat was mostly too salty or too sweet in Palermo and Kilimanjaro. Fiji was the only good restaurant and so we ate there every night after trying the other two. The last point that really let it down is very personal to me but sets the standard. I had requested alternative meal option to dairy and was told this was not an option. I took a taxi 5 mins to the nearest 7-eleven and purchased my own. I have stayed in hotels all over the world and a true 5 star would not let a guest do this, especially when I informed them of what I planned. It is a shame as this is a 5 star resort on many fronts but the food options really do let it down. Vegetarian dishes are not labelled on the menus either. One other small gripe is the simulated rocks on the floors of the lagoons that are paired the same colour as the floor and the first you know of them is when you have stubbed your toe or tripped over!
