This is one of our go-to hotels. Comfortable, quiet, clean. It is near the airport and some stores. Easy access to highway.

The hotel was clean with good security. Room was clean, all pillows were very soft rather than a choice of pillows. Breakfast was adequate but not great. Didn’t see any hard boiled eggs, yogurt or muffins at breakfast buffet. Overall this is a clean place ina very convenient location. Lots of loads of pound airplanes over head and was on the 2nd floor!

I fly to PDX fairly regularly. I've stayed at several other properties in the vicinity, but this was my first stay at HI Express. I can say, with no qualification, that this is not only a great value, but the best property, period, in the local area. First, cleanliness is off the charts. I mean like so spotless I can't believe it. Way cleaner than many high-end properties that I've stayed at. So clean I'd let my mother stay there. Second, staffing quality. From front desk to housekeeping to breakfast servers, everyone was super polite and pleasant. Third, amenities. The breakfast buffet is really, really good. Hot food like eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, waffles. Add in yogurt, cereal, pastries, breads, fruit. Hot coffee and water available 24/7. A nice selection of beer and wine for purchase. I didn't use the gym or the pool so I can't comment on that, but I took a peek and everything looked fine. Fourth, room. Quality pillows and bedding. Plenty of electrical outlets. Coffee maker. Central cooling and heating. Blackout curtains. The bathroom has an exhaust fan (!). Walk-in shower with plenty of water pressure. Fifth, location. The airport shuttle is obviously important, but the property is also literally adjacent to the light rail station if you ever need that. Kudos to the franchise ownership group for their investment in the property, and to the team for making my stay a perfect one. This is my new home at PDX.

Paula Sue and Pierre were extremely helpful with everything! When I needed an extra blanket they had it to me in less than 5 minutes. When I asked for recommendations on wineries… they had a ton of recommendations! All of the staff was great!

It was disconcerning that the Front door was locked and I could not get in at first to check in. All doors are locked and it was a little confusing how to open the front door without a room key. I think the front desk opened it for me, not sure. You have to call the hotel to get the shuttle from the airport. Hotel is in a fairly good location. In the Cascade shopping area, within a walk from the hotel to shop and get food. Target is next door and a light rail station. Room was spacous and comfortable.

Right at the PDX airport, very convenient. Near shopping but need to drive. New hotel about 4 years old. Nice staff. Will return if back in the area.

Very clean, great customer service, nicely stocked pantry, clean pool, and some restaurants within walking distance. The only minor issue with the hotel is that the TV service was a little outdated (can’t stream from your device to the TV or rent movies).

It is a wonderful place to stay. It was clean and the staff was wonderful. We will stay there again!!

Young man at desk apologized but said he was alone and could not come and get me! Severely understaffed, this person was the only employee I saw for the rest of the night. Bad management.

The free breakfast was great (options) but the refilling of the foods (when it was empty/finished) was kind of slow. The communication of how long it will take to refill was also not very good. We were there around 9am. They only refilled the pork sausages once during that time and it wasn’t even a full tray. Keep in mind that there were others waiting aside from my family of 5.

Very clean space. Room was very comfortable. We used the pool, very clean. Visited the gym and it looked top notch but we only used the water refill station.
