This is a very old hotel and it shows. It looks and feels shabby and dirty. At some point you can't clean nasty old carpets. There is no elevator and the stairs are very steep and non-accessible. I'd requested an accessible room due to a knee injury. We arrived around 6:30 pm. There is only one person who can check you in and he was gone when we got there. We waited nearly 20 min. Some woman stood behind the counter and awkwardly stared at us while we waited. Eventually, the man drove up in front of the hotel and came and checked us in. He put us upstairs. We asked about an accessible room. Sorry. Too bad. That was all they had. The bed was comfortable. We skipped "breakfast". It's set up directly below the open stairs. No sneeze guard. Everyone leans over the wall directly over the food. They only had a waffle maker, coffee and a few slices of stale looking bread and a toaster. It was sad looking. We would not recommend staying here unless it's the last option. The location is convenient to the beach and wildlife refuge.

Clean, cozy, comfortable little getaway spot with friendly service and a nice little free breakfast with good coffee. Who could ask for anything more?

The property is well located and staff is friendly and helpful. However, the carpeting in the room was filthy, breakfast items were very few. If you are just looking for a place to sleep while enjoying Chincoteague and Assateague its good enough for a fair price.

Good place to stay. I will be back next time I'm visiting that area. Breakfast could use some improvement if that means a lot to you. Good coffee but a small selection of foods.

We loved the location which is very close to the State Park with Tom's cove. Which is great if you want calmer warmer water. I would definitely stay at this hotel again because the pool was so nice. Location made it more quite but yet there are places around it you can walk too. They had a continental breakfast to start the day. Hotel was clean and had easy parking! Very relaxing trip!

The service is absolutely terrible. My wife is 7 months pregnant and there was no elevator in the hotel, so she had to carry some things up a couple flights of stairs. When we entered our room there was no hand towels or toilet paper in the bathroom. We went to call the front desk only to discover the phone and alarm clock cords were cut and therefore inoperable. My wife went down to the front desk to ask for toilet paper, and the hotel manager had the nerve to say "Just wait for housekeeping and they'll give you more" before reluctantly giving her a roll. Not only did housekeeping not give us ANY toilet paper the rest of our stay, we're pretty sure they stole my wife's jewelry out of our room while we were out. She wore her jewelry once, which was on the night of our wedding (7/17/24). She removed it later that night when we got back to our room and put it back in her jewelry bag, which she kept in one of the compartments of her backpack. When we got home that jewelry bag was nowhere to be found. We called the hotel and asked them to check and see if it was "left" in our room, and they denied at least 4 or 5 times that anything was found in the room. My wife had a necklace with her name on it that was given to her by her father, who passed away when she was only 12 years old, plus her engagement ring. Avoid this place at all costs!!

Rooms were small. Beds were really small my husband and I ended up sleeping on separate beds. It could have used a little bit of updating too

The staff were excellent. I was pleasantly surprised how friendly the staff were. They greeted each time I was going out or coming in during my stay.

The breakfast was very meager-while I did not expect a huge array of choices, it was not satisfactory. Black mold in bathroom internet too weak

Wasn’t impressed with the clerk saying our hotel room out loud but they were friendly. The cereal and bread was stale but thankfully the waffles were fresh. The pool was clean.
