My second stay at Mama Shelter, it was even nicer than I remember. Highly recommend!

Hotel is modern and nice. Rooms are basic, for the family room you’re in the basement with no natural light or windows, but for a bed it’s good enough.

Problem with the shower , water pressure was terrible, just a trickle, not at all what it should be. On your site you state Parking available, not true, it is street parking only. I would not have chosen the hotel because of this, but my check in was late and you had already charged me. Also they take a charge on your card of 50£ which is not mentioned anywhere. They told me for the minibar and extras . There was nothing in the minibar ! Room was nice but small. No shampoo gel, you have to use a bar of soap ! Couldn't stay for breakfast so no idea on that . The shower and no parking were the main issues.

The service was great but the accommodations were lacking. The bed I slept in had someone else’s hair on the pillows and was *itchy*. Could be better.

I’ve been a customer at Mama Shelter for 12+ years now, all over the world. I have to say unfortunately London might be my least favorite, the staff was not great and friendly which i’m acustomed to usually “to feel at home”. Also the breakfast is really not up to standards compared to other Mamas, terrible filter coffee, pancakes, waffles were not fresh and pastries were mediocre…For the prices that Mama London offers i would not return honestly.

We asked for extra pillows om out second night (of five) and they were taken away the next day. Great breakfast though! And good size on the TV.

I think the styling of this hotel is really beautiful. Honestly was quite impressive. Very eclectic and interesting. Some cleaning issues in the bathroom but not enough to turn you off

I like staying at Mama Shelter when I can. It has a great vibe, the rooms are comfy and the staff are really nice. It’s one of my favorite places to stay in London, with a great price to match!

Great value! Comfortable rooms with fun designs and friendly staff. Good restaurant on site and many other bar, restaurant, café options nearby. Very close to public transport (Cambridge Heath overground & Bethnal Green tube), with easy access to airports. Best place I've stayed in London *by far*. Would definitely return!

Comfy bed, comfy room, gloriously extra decor, friendly staff, magnificent breakfast.

This was my first time in London, and I really enjoyed my time here thanks to Mama Shelter. The area is nice but the overground station is a bit far, but other means of transportation (bus/overground) are right next to the hotel. Central London is one short bus ride away, and there are a bunch of good restaurants nearby. I opted to buy the breakfast for about $20 more per person, and I thought it was definitely worth it. It is a buffet style breakfast with great options for all kinds of diets/restrictions. The food was solid, and I would recommend getting it if you aren't venturing out for breakfast everyday. The only negative thing I would say about mama shelter is that the area is less touristy, and you will have to travel quite a distance depending on where you want to go/see. Mama Shelter happened to be at the center of most of my itinerary, and worked perfectly for me.

Very noisy at night loud music and doors banging until four in the morning, not the sort of place to go to when you're working and need a good night's sleep.

My dad chose this funky place as it was close to the festival on Victoria Park. Even though we arrived early for check-in, the friendly reception staff allowed us to check in our travel cases and place them in a secure room. Good size room for twin beds, and good size ensuite. Hotel ambience and staff was friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend, we'll book again for the next time we stop over this side of London.

This is a cool and quirky hotel, friendly staff, comfortable room. Lots of options for breakfast. Convenient for Shoreditch, Hackney, Victoria Park. Recommended! The lift could do with a bit of maintenance (some buttons not working)
