When we arrived was greeting at checkin. Went to room couldn’t get in door was not opening, had to go down to change key. Bed was cosy, enjoyed wide screen tv. The view from window was nothing but a rooftop. Pitched dark at night so we closed roller blind. There was a big chipped in the bath and I reported and engineered came up said nothing can be done. I went spoke to receptionist but they said they report it but nothing was done. Went downstairs to get deal Black Friday deal and it was a little hassle to do so. I was helped by the manager but going into pub grill they still requested a voucher even though the bar code was on my email.
They said the meal for two was only for one. the bar staff had to go get approval that it was a deal 2 for 1 so we both could have breakfast. They also charged full price each so I ended paying double price. I query this and yet to be refunded on the breakfast deal.
Overall it’s lovely to stay at village. It’s nice friendly atmosphere lots to do Swimming, sauna hot tub and gym. I enjoy Starbucks cafe and its really nice to stay at Village Hotel when there no problem to deal with.

Staff were nice, was a mess up with my room already occupied, was upgraded but felt unsafe so double locked door so same didn’t happen to me. My room had a locked door to the next room therefore it was like I was in the room with them, drunken conversations way into the early hours and then very loud sex mid morning. Luckily had earplugs to actually sleep.

Cleanliness was fine, staff were a mixed bag, some really quite rude, others otherwise helpful, pool being shut was frustrating having paid extra to use it & no compensation being offered, one member of staff in particular was actively rude & without basic knowledge, the desire to automate everything & remove the personal touch meant this place suffered, also no biscuits in roo, coooome on brah

Another fantastic stay at Village Hotel. The staff were super friendly and so helpful, especially Maria. She went above and beyond.
The facilities were amazing and the bed was also extremely comfortable. Good choice to have Starbucks, Leisure Centre and a bar/restaurant on your doorstep. I look forward to my next visit.

We very much enjoyed our stay and especially enjoyed using the leisure facilities which are excellent. The room was very comfortable and well-equipped although the room service function didn’t work which was frustrating. Apart from that, it was a good stay with free weekend parking.

Car parking was only free with the club room, I think because of the price of things it should be free anyway.
The bar area is a nice place to sit down have some food and watch the TV, even had a cinema screening in front of one of them which I thought was cool. I'd definitely stay here again, I'd use the gym/swim next time though!

Had a problem with amount of beds in room within minutes the problem was fixed and problem solved all by the caring reception desk! Great customer service!

I stayed here the other night for the first time, and discovered for a local hotel it is affordable but still needs the standards. If its a pool or great food, this is your place

Have stayed here multiple times. The hotel is always lively. Clean rooms. Great gym and pool (£5 extra). Good Indian Restaurant short walk away. Everything you need and very good value for money.

Its a great hotel, a little bit far from everywhere if you dont have a car. Tube is an £8 taxi ride away. Busy in the bar when the football is on.

Very basic for the price. I could hear the person talking in the room next door on their mobile through to 2am (he wasn’t being overly loud, just shocking soundproofing).
It was rather warm the evening I stayed and the room was hot and stuffy. I had an operation the following day and needed to be at the hospital for 6am, I was hoping to be well rested. Unfortunately I wasn’t.
Room was really dusty. Wouldn’t recommend unless you are paying close to £100-120 per night.

Had a problem with room which none of the staff would help with was told issue would be fixed but wasn’t no apology from anyone!!!
