The room was spacious and clean. The views from the room and balcony were spectacular. The bathroom needs some work and updating. There was mold/mildew on the ceiling above the tub.

We were looking for a place to stay on a last-minute decision on a trip we were just on. The pictures looked reasonable, so we took a chance on it. Overall, the property is obviously showing its age, but it is well maintained and clean. It reminds me of those old motels you would see in the movies where you would spend a night after a long day of travel. I chose a room that by my dumb luck had a separate bedroom and bath from the rest of the living and kitchen area. I found out when we were checking in that some of the rooms are your typical small hotel rooms. Don't get me wrong, it did say on the description that the bedroom was separate, which I didn't notice, and it was a nice surprise to have a living room separate from the bedroom so that when I was up in the middle of the night, I didn't disturb my wife. While the rooms are dated, they are clean, and the beds were very comfortable and clean. There were ample towels and linens to meet our needs. When we checked in the gentleman at the front desk was very welcoming and helpful. He did inform us that the room which we had, which was up the hill from the main building probably would not have WIFI or spotty. He did say they were working getting that corrected. There are TVs in each room so you can watch want you want but if you need WIFI on the upper rooms it could be iffy or nonexistent. Overall, I would recommend this hotel because it is off the beaten path and you are a short drive from downtown & loads of other things

The panoramic view to town and mountain were unexpected but highly enjoyable. Spent the evening on balcony zipping a drink and watching the sunlight fading into darkness behind the mountains.

Management, Darren, was great. The view from the deck was lovely. Bed and bedding was very nice and comfortable.

The room was an interesting remodel, being an older funky building i was pleasantly surprised by the remodel, however the room freshner was overpowering and my overhead neighbors were quite heavy footed that kept me awake. This was not the hotels fault.

Older property but well kept and clean. Spacious king suite was really nice and comfy.

The staff was warm and welcoming. The room was spacious and immaculately clean. The view from the private balcony was amazing. The location was excellent. Definitely one of the best hotel experiences I've ever had.

Everything was very clean. Awesome mountain views. Staff was very friendly. Make sure U bring coffee, creamer, and sugar as the place doesn't supply any, but they do have coffee makers in the rooms. Just a small inconvenience that can be planned for.

I booked a delux room with a balcony but when I got there the reception sent us to another room. When I asked why we did not get the deluxe room he said someone was already in it. The room said continental breakfast. When I asked what time is breakfast he said they stopped doing breakfast several months ago. I told him I am disappointed I did not get what I paid for and with no breakfast. He said he is not responsible for what Expedia has advertised. Very dissatisfied.

This place is a little gem. It's older but the rooms have been updated and ours was very clean. Also they're very roomy and come with a real drip pot, fridge and microwave. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Great location on the edge of Blowing Rock and close to Boone. We'll be back.

The towels and sheets were VERY soft!!

We especially appreciated the friendliness and genuine care and consideration of the staff and property owner. The unit was roomy, nicely decorated and very clean. My sister and I arrived after hours, and everything was prepared for us when we got there. Darren, the property owner, turn on the heat, left the lights and TV on for us, and put ice on the room. He had left "real keys" at the office, a long with our paperwork. There is ample parking at each level. The only thing with room for improvement, were the bathroom facilities. The Cliff Dwellers Inn is a landmark that has been around for many years. I feel that is was a great value for the area. The views are amazing on a warm sunny day.
