The small cottages are very lovely! Nice vibe in the village with good customer service at the reception. It’s worth mentioning that the beds might not be suited for someone with a bad back – the foam matresses are very worn and slim. The shared kitchen and bathroom/shower are all basic ”camper” quality with some toilets and shower curtains broken, but you can manage just fine with the facilities.

I stayed in the cabin with a friend for a couple of nights and did some gold digging across the road. The cabin was neat and served our purpose. The camping washroom facilities ok but the shower could use some improvements. The restaurant had really good food!

The reception was closed when I arrived at 21:30, keys were in an envelope on the door with directions on where to find the cabin. The cabin is basic, with table and chairs and beds. The open fire place in the corner was absolutely great, there was firewood enough to fall asleep comfortably watching the flames. Kitchen and shower/toilets is available in the service building nearby and open at all times. The sauna though was available on a reservation basis only, which disappointed a bit. I had a 10 hour drive behind me on arrival and would have liked to relax in the sauna for a b it before going to bed. Breakfast in the morning was good, and staff very friendly.

We stayed at the Gold Village during July, choose to stay at the cottage area without own bathroom or kitchen. Went well even with small children. Booked a sauna turn also, which was needed with the cold weather... Our stay was experience for all of us.

Great staff. Shower/bathroom was small and difficult to take shower if you were tall. Clean, basic accommodations. Would stay again for an overnight if in the area.

Great to be in cabins in nowhere in middle of Finnish snowy winter. In summer probably a little tacky next to fake Gold Mine town. Bathrooms are communal and have ventilation and plumbing issues. Food is excellent, prices are great.

Proposed to my partner in one of the log cabins. Great service feom staff and the food was great at the onsite restraunt. Also saw the aurora dueing our stay. Awrsome accomodation!

The hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful. The room was also warm and cosy. During the stay in the hotel, we managed to see the northern light! Thankful that we stayed in the hotel. The food was also great and nice!

Cottage was like was like were said on page, bed was comfy, there should be have better pictures from cottage on page tho. Fireplace was awesome and romantic. We did sausages and marshmallows there. Area was cozy and quiet middle of nothing as we wanted. We were traveling with own car so was easy to go example to Saariselkä. Service on place was friendly and home like and I really liked it. Because we travelled on wintertime place was really quiet from other quests. Summertime this place is more busy for sure. It was sad that we didn’t saw northern lights but it’s not place fault. :) breakfast was 10e, and really homemade. We loved reindeers there, Lumi and Urho really made our day there. Recommended this place everyone who want to be in quiet and basic and near nature like place. I want to go there again on summertime.

It was a really nice accommodation. Only the drinks were too expensive. But lovely staff!
