Property view is nice. But everything about this place looks and was cheap.Safe code would not change from what staff stored it to be which was unacceptable. Im very disappointed about the little ants that my bro and i had to kill each time we entered room. We didn't leave anything open including our bags due to ant infestation. My opinion, "FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE TO STAY" Also keep bags or anything up off the floor. I give this place a 1 star just cause AC and fan worked just how i like

First when I arrived I told the taxi driver this maybe the wrong address, because the name of the hotel is hotel Summer in front of the ocean. He said yes it is, but you have to cross 4 lanes of traffic first. I was still optimistic, so I proceeded to check in. When I got to my room it was apparent they were not prepared for guests as the AC was off, it was a very hot day, and it took 3 hours for the room to cool down. The “balcony” was that only in name as I could not sit and look into the ocean because it was too small. I had to sit side ways and enjoy oncoming traffic. At this point I’m being picky, but what really did it for me was I woke up in the morning and saw a roach sauntering across the room like I was the Intruder. When I killed it, a short while after I noticed a trail of ants, but by this time I had a blasting headache. I couldn’t figure why I didn’t drink, this was no hangover. I tried to call the front desk but of course my phone was dead. So I went out the room and bam it smacked me right in the face… very heavy gasoline fumes. I went to tell the front desk and notify them the phone didn’t work. They called my room and said it worked. I said not because it rings for you. The phone was as dead as that roach. Anyway. I decided to check out because I couldn’t at this time. I requested a refund for my remaining days and they straight said no. Even though the fines were a health factor. 20 minutes after leaving my headache started to go away. Do not stay here.

This was an amazing experience service a very modern hotel with updated amenities 5 star all around with out the 5 star price it’s highly recommend I will be back! The hammock & ocean views provided breakfast awesome staff made my first out of country trip one I will never forget!

This hotel was very deceitful compare to online pictures. The hotel was not on the beach, no beach access, no views, customer service was horrible. They refused to change the room. Room was not clean, sheets were dingy. We had to find other accommodations. Staff made zero effort to assist. Their attitude was take it or leave it

Pick something a little further into town that had better amenities and cleaner. The staff is genuinely unhelpful.

The hotel is pretty good for the price, but they only have one restaurant with the daily menu only and you have to cross the street and walk quite a while to get to the beach and the swimming pool closes at 8 PM

The hotel is very close to the airport it literally took 10 minutes by Uber to get tthe hotel and vice versa. But the down side is that you will hear the planes landing and taking off. I sleep with earplugs (as I'm a light sleeper) so the noise didn't disturb me. My room was large, nice, simple, and clean. I appreciated the air conditioner and ceiling fan. A large floor to ceiling window provided fantastic views of the skyline and beach / sea. However, the finish of my hotel room was a bit poor. The door frame was coming away from the wall and it was roughly cut out around the light switch. The bath towels are tiny, so much so I thought they were hand towels. The shower wasn't hot enough for my liking. The shower head is an overhead waterfall, so it was awkward when trying to void getting my head/ hair wet. The breakfast was VERY BASIC only a few simple options and very repetitive. There are a few local restaurants near that have an extensive menu with reasonable priced options. Staff were attentive and accommodate food restrictions/allergies. However, locals socialise outside, they are harmless, but it's worth being alert. The rooftop pool was lovely, it offered lovely skyline views and the music created a fun vibe. The beach is just across the road so that's convenient if you want to go for an ocean swim. Hotel staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating. Overall I had a good stay, Summer hotel is a decent affordable option with minimal frills.

The hotel is very well managed. The facilities are very clean and well kept. It is ideal if you are driving, or willing to take U/taxi, because Cartagena's Transcaribe Transit does not reach the hotel area. The hotel has a small and very clean rooftop pool. The beach is across a highway overpass. Wifi is excellent. Air conditioning is excellent. I enjoyed the small restaurant and its service. Breakfast is on the light side (no buffet) but enough on calories. You get two eggs any style, coffee, toast a Colombian breakfast (different every day) which I enjoyed too. The corn dough empanadas filled with beef were a treat. I would recommend this hotel if you are driving, or willing to take taxis/U's.
