Besides the helpful staff the location is fantastic.

Excellent place to stay for a visit to the wonderful city of Carcasonne. Convenient, safe parking on-site for 15 euros per night. Our bedroom was clean and comfortable, across the road from the main hotel reception but that wasn’t a problem. Lovely pool and pool area with sun beds, which we made use of.

Gorgeous hotel, lovely pool, great food, friendly staff and the cutest chien et chat. Ladies, take a mirror so you can do your makeup outside, as the spotlights in the bedrooms and bathroom make it tricky... Other than that, we loved it. What a location!!

Premium location: the fortress is right in front. You can walk from the front desk to the front entrance of the fortress in less than 10 minutes--closer to 5. Pool, bar, & parking all good (tight parking). Property consists of 2 hotels main & bldg across the street. I booked 6 mos. in advance for 2 people & still didn't get in main bldg. Add'l bldg rooms very small (even by European studs); you have to sit and pivot to fit onto toilet. Free bathroom amenities are a "community" shampoo/soap bottles in bathroom. Hence, rooms nothing great, but the fact you can get a hotel this close, w/ a pool, w/ a/c, near the airport, & a great view (from bar not your room) makes it worthwhile. Also, great bakery in walking distance. The staff was nice enough, the location is safe, and housekeeping does a great job. If you arrive late, you may not get a parking space so keep that in mind. We did not get the breakfast; we chose to walk to the bakery each day for coffee and pastries. Many nearby restaurants were simply average, but the tapas bar in the Fortress named, "Escargot" was very good. If you stay at Montmorency, take advantage of exploring the fortress in the evening when the crowds are gone. So, overall, I'd give it 4-stars because of its location.

Situated just a couple of minutes walk to the centre. The staff were excellent and very attentive. The outside space dares you to just sit, relax and unwind to soft music and a great cocktail menus.

Secure parking at €15 per night. Swimming pool / jacuzzi area with sun loungers, and deck chairs. A lovely little secluded oasis in fact Breakfast is set without a choice, and table service. A small piece of ham, 2 small pieces cheese, a plain yoghurt, boiled egg, bread roll, mini viennoiserie, jam, piece of fruit, and some fruit juice (all with no choice, what you are given is what you are given ) whilst it's not awful, and local produce, for the price of €18 per person, it would be nice to have had a choice. Some people may like cereal for example, or an orange juice rather than apple juice being given, but it's not offered. I have a dairy intolerance, but yoghurt, cheese and butter was given to me. I explained my situation, and was told told no alternative was available. Mine isn't a lifestyle choice, so much of the breakfast I could not eat. I'm not alone with having a diet of non dairy, either by choice or not. I do feel the hotel could give some consideration to breakfast choices, especially for €18 per person

The Hotel is in an excellent position, pool area beautiful and Breakfast very nice. No wifi however WiFi is advertised but cannot reach the rooms. This was mentioned at least 5 times during my stay and each time I was told there is WiFi and they would reset it. Pretty good overall but sink and shower were clogged. Some refurbishing needed is some rooms. Wear and tear visible in spots. Good A/C, great views, excellent bar, very friendly staff.

Lovely hotel close to one of the main gates of the medieval city of Carcassone. Many of the rooms are in a separate building behind the main hotel site but bar, breakfast, pool are at the main site. The room i had was an ok size with a good sized bathroom but was in need of some redecorating (wallpaper coming off the walls). Other rooms in my corridor looked nicer and individually decorated so i don’t think it was the same standard everywhere. The rest of the facilities were very good, including a very nice pool, lounger and jacuzzi! Very nice breakfast for €18 pppd with lots of local products.

Positive: literally 5’ walk to entrance of Carcassonne! Car parking was very good and save. Breakfast was in the main hotel across the street with a stunning view of the city as background. Nice breakfast served at the table, plenty of choice. Nice garden to sit and relax good sized pool area. EXTREMELY nice personnel at reception and breakfast area! Negative: we stayed in a deluxe room in the ***star Mommerency. Small rooms/bathroom, noisy at times, clean but tired looking. Shower/bath: only hot water because the thermostat button was stuck solid. No coffee/tea facility in the room. Ofcourse you do pay less than in the main building and we did not spend much time in our room.
