I really enjoyed my stay! The Idyllwild was so cute with all the cedar walls and the little kitchen and balcony! I loved sitting on the balcony at night looking at the stars!. The hosts were awesome and I made two new friends. Also the home made scones in the cute breakfast basket were a great touch. There could be more attention to cleaning as I saw old grains of rice in the bed. I would stay there again!

I've been staying here for almost a decade, but prior to this trip it had been about 4 years since my last visit and it seems that the property has noticably fallen into disrepair. I will no longer be recommending this place to anyone or staying there myself.

The receptionist on site charged me for my service dog which is illegal. I called U.S. Service Animal agency the next day to report it. The manager soon came to my door and said she would reverse the charge, but I’ve yet to see it on my bank account. As for the room, the TV didn’t work. It took forever for the hot water to heat up in the shower. The lodge is next to the highway with nowhere but the side of the road next to traffic to walk a dog. The bed was comfortable. The lodge is only 3 minutes from town so the location is convenient. I’d probably stay there again, but I did have to drive my dog to a nearby field for her to go potty. Also, a picnic style breakfast is brought to your door in a basket in the morning. It had an apple, fruit juice, instant oatmeal, and a chocolate filled croissant in it. Nice touch. The whole place needs a better paint job. It wasn’t expensive, either.

This was a wonderful stay. I rarely take the time to write a review but I felt it was necessary for this stay. The hotel is actually very cute. The appearance outside is of an adorable cottage like hotel in the pines. The insides are perfect little cabins. My three kids slept upstairs in the loft and they really liked it. The room has every comfort you could need whether it’s summer or winter. The back patio had gorgeous views of the forest you’re in. It was quiet and we enjoyed seeing the beautiful birds and the fluffy squirrels running around. Breakfast was also super cute. They leave a basket with different options at your door in the morning. My kids loved it. The only down side is we stayed one night. I would have liked to stay longer. -also, the owner was extremely nice and I would recommend this place to friends and family

I love Idyllwild Bunkhouse! The rooms are really charming with lots of wood features, a well supplied kitchenette, and a deck with a gorgeous view of the forest. The staff are super welcoming and the price very affordable.

They charged me and I never checked in. I was never given any info on my stay. I’m still waiting for a refund

We always have a wonderful time staying at the bunkhouse. The little naughty pine cabin with kitchen is very convenient. We love this stay in The pines of Idlewild. We have been there in the fall and now in the spring we will be ready visiting again in the fall before the snowflakes fall. wonderful place and of course Raj the owner is Super nice. If you like a funky fun weekend stay this is it.

However, things seemed unfinished: sloppy painting behind the toilet, doors had fairly wide gaps that let cold air in, and the heat was either full on or full off. Also, there was a mouse running around. There was one of those sticky mouse catchers under the fridge, which I really don't like. Use a snap trap and kill the mouse instantly; don't catch it alive in stickiness and let it starve to death.

I love this place. Vault ceilings, little balcony, kitchenette, the breakfast comes in a little basket on your door in the morning-how convenient!!! It really is a gem. Simple and amazing. Bathrooms are tiny but clean and efficient.

The beds where very hard, pillows and all coverings where fine but the matrass, no box spring where very hard. contented breakfast at the room was a nice touch.
