I am compelled to issue a strong warning against staying at Casa San Diego Morelia Hotel due to a severe security breach during my stay.
Security Breach:
After checking out, I realized I had left a jewelry bag in my room, containing items of great sentimental value. Despite promptly contacting the hotel, their response was dismissive. The staff, including the manager, claimed nothing was found, which is highly improbable as we had not stopped elsewhere after leaving the hotel. This incident has led me to question the integrity and security practices at this establishment. We have taken the step of filing a police report, and an investigation is ongoing.
Conclusion:
Given this distressing experience, I cannot recommend Casa San Diego Morelia Hotel. The apparent lack of honesty and security makes it an unsuitable choice for travelers. I strongly advise looking for alternative accommodations to ensure your safety and well-being.

This is a beautiful hotel in the heart of Morelia. Although it's location in a very busy street. The rooms are VERY quiet. Our stay included breakfast which offered many delicious options. A+

Just had ally 2nd stay at this very lovely, clean, colonial hotel. Excellent location, walking distance to the Tarascas fountain and from the cathedral. Awesome value for this gem!

Somewhat standard, nothing out of the ordinary, but safe and clean. Nice-looking rooms with comfortable beds and sheets.
A convenient 10-minute walk from the cathedral. That said, the hotel is near a major avenue, so there is some traffic noise and one of the main entrances is not as convenient or pedestrian friendly.
It might have been the holiday season, but people dining downstairs were too loud from 8 pm to 11 pm. Also, one of the guards started shouting at 10 pm on a Saturday.
Breakfast was not ready at 9:45 am so we didn't get to try it.

When I told them I didn't feel safe with their solution, they said the only way to feel safe was for me to stay at home.
I immediately left the hotel, they still charged me.
Don't stay here, it is not safe and they know it.

Cleanliness, beautiful decor, staff very attentive, peaceful, excellent location. Aqueducto at front entrance and Calzada at back entrance. Good resturant on site and walking distance to other great food options, downtown, and other great sites. Will definitely stay again

My husband and I and several family members were in town for a wedding. The staff provided great recommendations on places to visit and dine for the days leading up to the wedding.

The building is nice, they keep it nice and clean but there are a few things that needs improvement such us fixing the fire place on the suite, more attention to the small details like replacing worn out bathroom towels, cleaning the upholstery of the couches in the room specially if it has a big wet spot. Oh! and let’s not forget about the patio on the second floor next to the suite which they rent it for night events, loud music and drunk people with freely access to hotel walking in the hall ways.
This hotel has a lot of potential to make the guest feel comfortable, safe and wanted to come back but before that happens they really need to take care of these issues.

Excellent place, I stayed in the suite -room 10. I would stay again in this hotel.

Price was decent but our room was just not what we expected. The bathroom sink was behind the door, its space was too small for the two of us trying to access it at the same time. TV set was place on the bed's left side with little room to manipulate its angle for a better view. Lastly, the hotel service room was just above our room and sounds/noises were heard throughout the night.
