Apartment is lower level of owner's home. Private entrance, well stocked with everything we needed. Owner was very easy to deal with and even offered to knock on the door if the Northern Lights were out (which they were!). Would absolutely stay there again if I'm ever back in Selfoss.

Lovely studio apartment looking out on the River. Kristin was wonderful and accommodating. Nice having a kitchen to prepare breakfast and lunch since food in Iceland is pricey. Selfoss the perfect start to start our adventure!!

Had a great one night stay at River Apartment. Had some difficulties with tv and could have used some instructions. Apartment was well equipped: coffee machine (with coffee and filters), toaster, even had some basic supplies (pasta etc). Sofa bed was good to sleep.

Inside the property amenities cleanliness and condition are excellent! However parking is a struggle, outside noise can be an issue, and frequent smoking from others outside limited our ability to enjoy any fresh air. Really good stay but the neighborhood needs to catch up with the excellent internal comforts. Thanks

Home away from home! Everything you need is there. The washer/dryer was a huge bonus! Bed was comfortable, kitchen was fully equipped, view was fantastic. Downtown was just across the bridge with lots to do and the host was amazing!

We were fortunate to stay at the river apartments for one night. The apartment was spacious, everything we needed, excellent view of the river, comfortable bedding and wonderful host. Being at many Airbnb you could see the host truly enjoys what she does and makes your stay as comfortable as possible. She even gave us suggestions for sightseeing printed up and some Icelandic candy. Thanks again Kristin for opening your home ....

Lovely apartment! It was perfect for 4 gals on a trip. We stayed 3 nights and loved having a full kitchen to cook in. Restaurants, grocery, wine store were all close by as were local attractions. Waking up to a view of the river was incredible. The owner Kristin was amazing! Provided us with printed information about things to do and favorite restaurants. She asked if we wanted her to come down if she saw the northern light and of course we said yes. On our final night there was a knock on the door around 11pm and it was Kristin saying the light were out. The only time we saw them on our 8 day trip. We would have missed them if not for her. Thank you for taking such good care of us!!!!

We stayed at the River Apartments as a stopover from Golden Circle trip before heading further on the Ring Road. Nice residential area close to places to eat in Selfoss. The apartment was really nice. Kristin, owner, sent us an email about a month before the trip with instructions on how to find property and how to check in. She had our name on the door to the apartment, which made sure we got to the right door. There are 2 different apartments on the ground floor of the house. They even checked in on us when we arrived (we arrived quite late), gave us a list of things to do on our planned next day trip to Vik, and welcomed us with delicious bar of chocolate. The apartment was impeccable, we were able to do laundry with dryer and wash our baby supplies. Bed was comfy. The only recommendation I can think of would be to have a more prominent sign by the driveway, so it is easier to locate at night. We found it by the house number before we even realized there was a sign.
