I stay at a lot of Holiday inn express hotels all over the country. You can usually count on them being clean and comfortable. But no matter what I always use a disinfectant wipe and wipe down all the surfaces I think I will touch. Usually the wipe is clean. That wasn't the case when I used it on the chair in the room at this location. I also noticed that this room had a stale smoke smell which really bothered me.

Great experience at Holiday Inn Express. The hotel was clean and quiet, the staff friendly and helpful. Free shuttle to airport and Old Market area was a nice plus! The hotel is outside of downtown about 1 mile, but there is a nice pedestrian walkway and park that you can take.

Elevator broke- only had sign on 1st floor about the elevator not working. Towels were extremely thin, lukewarm water at best for shower, no floor mat for in front of tub, no listing for tv stations, and no information booklet. Breakfast should be available at 6:00 a.m., not 7. Not worth the cost.

The location was great (5 mins from the airport). The hotel was VERY clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. There was in-hotel laundry, which helped a lot given the swimming activities. Parking was easy as there was a lot of parking around the hotel.

Overall a good stay, but when i checked into my room, the floor had beads and popcorn under the chaise. Not my beads, not my popcorn. Housekeeping needs to check finished rooms better.

The first room had a mold/pet smell then I saw that the ceiling had a wet spot and it was soft and peeling. The lady working the desk has polite and got me new room right away.
