Beautiful accommodation and location with really thoughtful welcome

it was a lovely stay in a beautiful property. it was very well equipped.

Very high-spec house with everything we needed. Lovely views from the back patio and larger-than-expected kitchen/living room area. We were a group of six adults, and apart from sharing one bathroom, there was plenty of space for us with large beds in the double rooms. Be aware that the cottages are all in a row, so you will be close to others in your garden. This didn’t worry us at all but wouldn’t suit people looking for total privacy. Very nice pub within walking distance.

A 10am check-out is too early, especially on Sundays. We had only booked a weekend break and it meant we were all rushing a bit rather than enjoying breakfast on our second day. TV buffered due to weak wifi.

One bathroom between six was a little challenging

The views were amazing and the location was great for a quiet break away with dogs. Lots of lovely walks and close to a quiet village.

It was clean, good size rooms, a full kitchen, did like the welcome milk, cake, dog chew and teas. Nice enclosed garden and excellent view and grateful for a parking space.

No double beds (double made out of two twins) but understand why. No oven trays for cooking.

Lovely location, great facilities and very clean. Everything was just so. Hosts were friendly and easy to contact. We had a lovely walk around the nearby reservoir. Great local Pubs.

Only little thing was the dishwasher didn't work, but first world problem. Wasn't really an issue.

Lovely place, everything we needed in the cottage, lovely welcome gift, everything was thought of, will definitely return.

The lovely aspect of the cottage. Very helpful owner. Good facilities and well managed. Good positioning for touring the Peak District.

Everything was good

Absolutely fabulous location. Amazing accommodation in picturesque location. Very dog friendly. Lots of lovely details Bakewell tart on arrival and a complementary bottle of wine. Dog bowls and towels provided including poo bags and treats for the dogs. Can not recommend enough. Had a fabulous 5 nights with my family , 7 month old baby and 2 dogs! We will definitely come back. Tim the owner could not of been more helpful with places to visit and assistance with our stay.

Beautiful setting, had everything you needed and safe for dogs.

Cottage was extremely well presented and had everything we needed for a great trip. Especially loved the games room nearby and the kitchen was extremely nice, also the location was superb :)

The two female members of our group said there were a lack of mirrors in the cottage. Just when we stayed the rooms got very hot and stuffy at night, of course this was most likely due to the weather outside, and not much can be done about it, maybe to have a fan available?

Location, facilities and high standard of cleaning.

Location is great, really nice and peaceful. We enjoyed the tennis court/table tennis.

The only gripe was the WiFi being quite slow. Given its a low mobile signal area it would be beneficial to have quicker Internet. However it certainly wouldn't put us off going back.

The location was peaceful and beautiful and so therefore made for an especially relaxing stay. Excellent walks from the cottage and many routes to choose from. The lambs were a delight to see and the table tennis and tennis court so nice to have available whenever one wanted. Gino's pizza in Wirksworth was incredible and we are a part Italian family so do mean that. The food and service in the courtyard of the Rose and Anchor was also superb.

We had dry weather so it didn't matter at all but coat hooks in the hall would be quite useful in wet weather as the walking from the cottage is so good.
