This place has lots of character! We visited off season for one night stop on our way from Detroit to Chicago. We had the whole place basically to ourselves. Loved the homey decor, lots of old furnitures and decorations, and the library area was very cosy. David the owner was very welcoming and friendly and cooked a great breakfast for us. Wish we had time to stay more.

Location was perfect and David & June, the Innkeepers, were absolutely lovely!! The breakfasts were amazing and David's knowledge of the area and his home were top notch!!

Greatly enjoyed the B & B! Breakfast was tremendous each day. My favorite was the banana muffins, wife's was the peaches and blueberries, thank you David!

Charming cottage for one or two with a sleeping loft. Best features were a private hot tub on an outside deck AND a superb homecooked breakfast delivered daily in a wicker basket!

I just enjoyed a wonderful three-night stay at the Serendipity B&B, and it was delightful! David went out of his way to ensure that my stay was enjoyable - from restaurant recommendations, to coffee delivered outside my door in the morning, to scrumptious breakfasts each day - he and June were excellent hosts. The cranberry-pecan scones were my personal favorite!

Comfortable bed & amazing breakfast

I have never stayed at B&B before so this was my one and only experience. I loved it. David and June are super nice and considerate. This place is literally home away from your home :)

Everything in town was close to the Serendipity. Breakfast was delicious, prepared by David and June - homemade applesauce and quiche with muffins and jam. David was so hospitable, bringing us morning coffee prior to our breakfast, bottled water. Obviously no control over the weather, which prohibited us from enjoying the lovely gardens on the property. The only drawback was that the room was quite small. A front sitting room was the perfect remedy.

The B&B was in the most perfect location, just one block from downtown Saugatuck. The Inn’s breakfast was fantastic. We stayed in the Lily room which had it’s own bathroom. The yard is set up with small tables and chairs for a lovely respite anytime of the day. We drank wine in the evening and watched the birds in and out of the many feeders.

This B&B is perfectly situated in a lovely Great Lake-side village. There are many great eateries, shops, and sights within 5” walk. A fantastic path through vegetated sand dunes starts on the other side of a quaint chain ferry across the Kalamazoo River. The B&B proprietor genuinely cares for the safety of his guests (& therefore has taken many measures re: COVID-19). The room was a little cramped, but the bed was comfortable. Don’t expect tons of water pressure in this quaint B&B. We would definitely stay here again and LOVE Saugatuck.

My only complaint, which is not in control by the owner, was the noise of the garbage trucks very early Friday morning. Breakfasts were homemade, yet gourmet style in a beautiful table setting. Gardens are gorgeous. Host was friendly and informative. Decor was consistent with a Victorian b n b. Location, within walking distance of all downtown Saugatuk made up for the one night of noise. We were fortunate to be there the weekend of Venetian Weekend, which included concert and boat parade and fireworks. And shopping at an art festival, too. The downtown shops have something for everyone. The location of this b n b is great!
