The Local Area

The impressive Criccieth Castle looks over the town and has stunning views over Cardigan Bay. When walking up to the castle, be sure to get an ice cream from Cadwaladers. The town has a vibrant high street lined with shops, cafes and restaurants showcasing some of the best local produce. Criccieth is the gateway to Snowdonia from the Llyn Peninsula, being just a short drive from the heart of the national park. The town is also an ideal base for exploring nearby attractions such as the picturesque Portmeirion village and the historic Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railways.
