Escape to this enchanting countryside home, nestled east of the charming village of Bampton, where timeless beauty and contemporary comforts create the perfect retreat. Set against the stunning backdrop of Exmoor National Park, this spot is a haven for nature lovers and adventurers alike. Just a stone’s throw away, the majestic landscapes of Exmoor offer endless opportunities for hiking, wildlife spotting, and scenic drives through rolling moorlands and wooded valleys. The seaside resort of Minehead (22 miles) in Somerset is worth a day trip with its large sun-kissed beach, promising breathtaking views and invigorating sea air.
Upon arriving at this delightful countryside home, enter into the opening hallway which is the perfect space to hang coats and slip off those walking boots. Underfloor heating throughout the ground floor will keep the chill off in winter months. Head through to the fabulous open-plan, triple-aspect lounge/kitchen/diner. This space exudes quality and offers sociable space for all the family. The main living area contains two comfortable sofas from which to enjoy the warming crackle of logs on the two roaring wood burners, while the beautifully designed third aspect features glass and oak beams surrounding a choice of further seating. A truly perfect space to take in views across the rolling fields. There is also an adjoining snug room which is perfect to retreat and read your favourite book, or even pull out a family board game. The kitchen features handcrafted units and all the appliances you will need for a stress-free stay. Guests have a choice of seating options, including the central dining table or the comfortable outdoor seating on those warmer evenings. A utility and boot room sit next to the kitchen. When the night draws in, retreat to your choice of well-decorated bedrooms. You’ll find both a king-size bedroom and a family room with two bunk beds on the lower floor, along with a shower room. Head up the elegant wooden staircase, passing a magnificent bathroom prior to the final steps up to the first floor. Here you’ll find two king-size bedrooms, a super-king-size and a super-king-size zip-and-link option. Three of these bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms, two of which offer free-standing baths and the third is a stylish shower room.
