About the home

“Marina View” is a delightful double-storey family home in Safety Beach, backing on to the Martha Cove Marina, a short walk to the beach and Safety Beach Sailing Club, and a short drive from the supermarkets, restaurants & cafés of Safety Beach. Some of the many features of this lovely home are detailed below:

Indoor Areas

Downstairs is a lovely entry that provides access to the Double Garage, a Bathroom (with shower & toilet), Bedroom 4 (with BIR) and a fully equipped Laundry (with washing machine and clothes dryer) that has access to the side Courtyard. The huge open plan Kitchen/Meals/Formal Dining/Family and Living Room (with gas fireplace, 75" smart TV and iRest luxury electric massage chair) makes up the rest of the downstairs area and leads out to the covered Alfresco and rear yard.

Upstairs is the enormous Bedroom 1 (with BIR and 45" smart TV) with delightful water views, access to a private Balcony, an adjoining Dressing Room and ensuite (with stand-alone bath, shower, separate toilet and double vanity). Also upstairs are Bedrooms 2 and 3 (each with BIR), a Bathroom (with shower) and separate Toilet.

Outdoor Areas

The amazing electric-pump heated mineral-water swimming pool (approx 5.5m x 4.0m, 1.5m - 1.8m deep approx) has delightful water views overlooking the Martha Cove Marina (with direct access) and several sun lounges. The fully covered Alfresco (with seating for 8-10 people and a ceiling fan) has an outdoor Kitchen (with bar fridge, sink and plumbed-in gas BBQ) and overlooks the enclosed rear yard which is perfect for kids. The side of the home features an outdoor hot/cold shower, an outdoor sink (e.g. to wash fish) and a hose & storage racks for washing & storing kayaks, body boards, etc. The Double Garage (with bar & stools, plus fold up table tennis table) has internal access into the home, and provides parking for up to 2 cars, with additional parking available on the street.

Local Area

It is approximately 100m (as the crow flies) to the ideal safe swimming beach in the protected Martha cove - perfect for the whole family with a children's playground and shaded public BBQ area. From the home it is less than 5min drive to the Safety Beach Golf Course, or 10min to the Mount Martha Public Golf Course. Mount Martha is close by, with over 5km of board walks, colourful bathing boxes, cliff walks and several wildlife sanctuaries. The incredible Arthurs Seat Eagle aerial gondola is less than a 10min drive from the home, and the Peninsula Hot Springs are 20min away.

Kitchen

The fully appointed kitchen is equipped with cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, microwave, Nespresso pod coffee machine, toaster, kettle, etc. plus a double sink, fridge, dishwasher, 900mm electric oven and 900mm induction cook top. There is also a sink, bar fridge and plumbed gas BBQ in the outdoor Kitchen.

Heating/Cooling Systems

There is zoned, ducted, reverse cycle air conditioning both upstairs and downstairs, plus hydronic heating in the upstairs areas.

Bedding Configuration

This home has 6 beds, plus 1 sofa bed, accommodating up to 13 guests:

Bedroom 1 (Upstairs): One King bed and One Double sofa bed (in the adjacent Dressing Room)
Bedroom 2 (Upstairs): One Queen bed
Bedroom 3 (Upstairs): One Tri-bunk and one Double bed
Bedroom 4 (Downstairs): One King bed

Please note: Tri-bunks have a Double bed base with a single bed above it.

Linen

It is common in the region for some linen to be provided for bookings, and some linen to be available as an optional extra. By default, a booking at this home does not include optional linen (top & bottom sheets, bath towels and pillowcases). What is included are doonas (quilts) with covers, pillows without covers, tea towels, hand towels and bathmats. If you would like the optional linen included in your booking, please let us know, including which beds you would like it provided for. The additional cost would be a one-off charge of $30 per bed (some sites add a service fee to these costs) - and we prefer 7 days' notice prior to your arrival to get that arranged.

Peak Periods

Please note that during the peak summer period and other peak times, check in times are set as 3pm unless by prior arrangement. Please also note that if you avail of the optional linen hire over these times, it may involve linen being left out but beds not being made up.

Functions, Celebrations and Schoolies

Please note that the home is not suitable for celebrations, parties or large events. The home also does not take bookings over Schoolies.
