A well-appointed and inviting, 2-bedroom, 2-bath, one-level Condo on Sugar Mountain. The relaxing space features a gas log stone fireplace, central heating to warm you during the colder months, and two (2) king beds with high-quality mattresses and linens, perfect for a great night's sleep. Additionally, it offers a comfy queen sofa bed in the living room.
Located in the heart of the Village of Sugar Mountain, the condo is steps from Sugar Mountain Resort, Ski Slopes, Golf, and Tennis. Golf and Tennis are public and accessible on a reservation and pay-per-play basis. It offers easy access to skiing, snow tubing, hiking, fishing, mountain biking, wineries, fine dining, shopping, and plays at Lees-McRae and the Appalachian Theatre.
Nearby attractions include Grandfather Mountain's hanging bridge, Banner Elk, Valle Crucis, Beech Mountain, Boone, Blowing Rock, and Linville. Experience the best of the High Country with endless recreational and cultural opportunities.
The condo has a fully stocked kitchen, washer/dryer, fast internet, Smart TVs, hair dryers, and comfortable furniture. It was recently renovated and is centrally located to most amenities in Banner Elk, Sugar, Beech, and Grandfather Mountains, to mention a few. The kitchen should offer everything you need during your stay. It includes a dishwasher, refrigerator, stove/oven, microwave, toaster, blender, coffee maker (drip) and Keurig pod, cooking basics, spices, dishes, flatware, glassware, utensils, trash bags, paper towels, cloth towels, and dish detergent.
Unwind on the open deck overlooking the mountain laurel and seasonal golf course view, or in front of the stone fireplace, or watch TV on the Smart TVs (ready for your favorite streaming service). If you need to do some work, no worries—the fast Wi-Fi makes it easy from 4,000ft!
Important FAQs:
Electric Heat with thermostat. The unit does not have A/C, as summers in Sugar Mountain are cool. However, you can open the windows and the sliding door in the living room to let in the cool mountain breeze. The unit has ceiling fans in the bedrooms and living room if needed.
The condo is one level. However, there are steps to reach the front door.
Please keep food from vehicles and dispose of trash in bear-proof community trash containers.
The fireplace remote control for starting and stopping the fireplace is embedded on the right side of the mantle.
For guest safety, the unit has two Nest smoke/CO2 detectors, a Fire extinguisher, and a Nest doorbell with a camera (exterior) at the front door (facing out).
The town of Sugar Mountain regularly plows the streets in the winter. However, driving conditions can be hazardous. Use caution while driving in icy or snowy conditions.

This two bedroom condo is beautifully decorated, very comfortable, and is located just a short distance from the Golf Club.
There are not many stairs to the entrance which was a huge plus for us.
The owner was just a phone call away and easy to reach. Our best complement is that we are looking forward to our next visit, hopefully sooner rather than later!

Allen's condo was a wonderful place to stay. It was quiet, convenient, comfortable, clean and I would gladly stay there again.

My teenage children and I, plus our dog, enjoyed a great weekend. The location was perfect. We have stayed at the top of the mountain for ski-in ski-out, but preferred to be closer to the resort. Driving and parking was a breeze. Condo was well equipped with everything we needed. Allen was easily available to answer questions and gave great restaurant and hike recommendations, Would definitely stay here again.

This is a great place to stay, the fireplace is awesome! Check-in was easy and painless. I had no issues with anything whatsoever. It's really close to Sugar Mountain, I walked to the lift in the mornings. Close to town for eats! 10/10 would stay again.

Unit is perfect for a ski getaway! Layout of the unit is very spacious. Easy walk to ski slops without the need to battle traffic. Unit is clean and well stocked. Very well decorated and appointed. Enjoyed the smart TV’s and high speed internet. Parking right at door of the unit. Will stay here again

We loved our few days at the condo! It is cozy and had everything we needed. The kitchen was very well stocked, the beds were very comfortable, and we had fun playing the games that were there. It was too warm to ski, but it was super close to the base of Sugar as well. Would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful place. Very convenient to Sugar Mountain Ski Resort. Property owner was amazing. It was an extremely busy weekend and the fact that we didn’t have to get up super early to fight for parking was great. Myself and 14 yo daughter and we walked to slopes with no problem. It was a great weekend and would absolutely stay here again.

Beautifully updated, clean and cozy condo. Comfy beds and linens. Kitchen is well stocked. We chose to drive to sugar mountain, it was a bit of a walk for us carrying our gear but still super close. Exactly what I envisioned a great winter getaway to be!

Perfect place to stay close to slopes and met all our needs. We even baked cookies for the ones on the slope for when they got back. Loved the cozy fireplace! Would rent here again.

Everything about Allen’s Place is what a vacation home should be! The beds, couch, sheets and towels are all high quality and incredibly comfortable. The kitchen had plenty of everything and the washer dryer were a huge bonus! Even with lots of fresh snow, the walk up to the ski lodge was super easy, we avoided the lunch crowd and came back to the room each day. We will absolutely be back, I wouldn’t think of staying anywhere else!!

The pictures don’t do this condo justice. It is nicely decorated and updated. The king size beds were extremely comfortable, towels plush, couch comfortable and fireplace so cozy. The kitchen was well equipped and had everything we needed for our weekend stay. It came stocked with plenty of toilet paper, laundry pods, dishwasher pods etc. The porch looks out over a peaceful wooded area with a stream. It is only a short, mostly flat walk to the slopes and tubing/ice rink. We only had 4 adults and a dog in our group and had plenty of room. My only complaint is that this unit is on the lower level so there is a condo directly above it; unfortunately during our stay there was a large group of college guys staying above us and it was quite noisy when they were home. During all other times it was quite and peaceful though. The owner was accommodating and quick to respond to messages. I would stay here again.

This is our second time staying at this property. We really enjoyed it. Owner makes check in and check out process super easy. Comfortable mattresses, easy to operate fireplace and overall very cozy place. Teens and us walked back and forth to the ski resort to snowboard, easy walk to the resort and other fun attractions like tubing and ice skating.

Came for a few days and had a great stay. Extremely close to the ski lifts making it an easy experience getting started in the morning. The condo was very clean, beds extremely comfortable and has a great fireplace to play games or watch the around. Host was very responsive and made it an all around great experience for us!
