The cottage is located a short drive from the main town. It's spacious and has lots of light. From the windows you can see the mountains which is spectacular. The cottage is well styled and feels homely. It was warm enough once the gas central heating has been on for a few hours. The host is very friendly and makes himself/ family available for questions/ help. He sent a video of the property before we arrived with clear directions of how to get there and enter the property. He also checked in with us during our stay.

We felt a little misled with the booking process. The cottage we booked was not the one advertised. The host sent us a video after we booked but the booking was non-refundable. The cottage being rented should be clearly advertised for the price. The cottage is a little bit dated. In particular we did not like the kitchen which is very old and the oven looks like it has never been cleaned. The oven also only had one shelf for cooking which is not adequate. The pots and pans provided for cooking are good but the cupboards are disorganised with all kinds of rubbish that's not needed and generally disorganised. They did not provide kitchen paper or replacement bags and we had to buy our own matches to light the stove. One of the main glass windows with the view to the mountains has a major crack in it which was not in the video shared. Further more the bathroom shower also has a crack in the floor which makes it uncomfortable to have a shower, particularly as the shower is very small. I'm 5ft 9inchs/ 178cm and I just about fit comfortably. A 2m person would definitely have trouble. The living room is a good size but the sofa is extremely uncomfortable to rest on but thankfully we were out most of the time so did not need it. Finally the internet is really unreliable. Probably a similar issue in many places in the area but it made it difficult to plan excursions or catch up with work. We also didn't appreciate being informed that you could not flush toilet paper down the toilet and that we also were not allowed to use the wood burner to warm the place until just before arriving. A little more transparency here would have been appreciated. Lastly it is difficult to tell when booking but it's only 50m from a busy main road (particularly during the day time) which means you can hear traffic passing. Overall we felt it was expensive for what it was, however this was our first time staying in the area and this is normal value.

The house is lovely. It has an amazing view to the forest & some mountains. You only find these houses in fairy tale books. The house is fully equipped with everything you may need.

The bathroom location is uncomfortable. This was not a problem for me, but this definitely has to change.
