Please, renovation is overdue. Noisy air conditioning. The room in front of the street is not even possible to sleep.

Location to the hospital where I had day surgery.

Extra costs for parking my car $23/night. Fleas. The decor is old, the carpet suspect.

Staff were really friendly and helpful, particularly on reception. Location is superb. Buses stop right outside too.

The only hotel I've ever stayed in anywhere in the world where the room had a resident mouse which came out at 10.30 each night and ran around the room. Reported twice at reception and still waiting for a response from them.

Great location on English Bay with very easy access to buses all over the city, views of the bay, $15 discount in bar when you 'Go Green' for a 3 nights stay and don't have your sheets and towels changed, breakfast included (choice of a menu item and drink at pub attached to hotel), comfortable beds. Very friendly and responsive staff. Was provided with a kettle on request and milk for my tea. Felt like a very good value for a large, comfortable room.

Air conditioner/heater was a bit noisy.
