We were disappointed in the room. There was a smell of smoke, no one had vacuumed under the beds for some time. The curtains were dirty and there seemed to be mold on the ceiling above the window. Not great. The staff at reception, when we arrived and when we left in the morning, were helpful and cheerful.

The carpet in the room was filthy as was the comforter on the bed. There’s only 1 channel on the tv.

The carpet was filthy! Large stained areas. There was mild on the caulked corners of the tub area. The furniture needs refinishing and since it is solid wood it would be worth refinishing instead of replacing.

Checkout times for fisherman suck cuz you have to get off the water at prime time to go checkout haha

Problem with the room door lock. Would not close properly so left for the evening with the door ajar with expensive equipment inside. Informed the front desk. Not impressed

Shower floor was extremely slippery to the point where I felt unsafe & my wife refused to use it. Noisy on fri. night. loud party & dog barking at 3 am. south entrance very unsafe. In the dark Fri. night, I fell into the depression at the door. I could not see it. very dangerous.

The staff at front desk gave us a discount due to our complaints noted below. They were very courteous. The breakfast was very good.

Front desk staff were personable and helpful. Room on 3rd floor was quiet, clean, and I appreciated the blackout curtains. Bed was comfortable. Good wifi.

No in-room coffee/hot water machine. :( Perhaps they think guests will walk over to the Tim Hortons… but it sure would have helped during colder, rainy weather, to wake up and make a warm beverage. Seemed odd. If you want a warm breakfast, grab it at Timmy’s when you get your morning coffee. The hotel offers small to-go cups of coffee with their selections, between 6 & 9, after that, you’re out of luck - and there are no mugs for in-room re-heating.

Confirmed at check in my room was a non-smoking room. Was assured the whole property was smoke free. When I went to the room it smelled like a bingo hall from the 1980’s. Too tired from my drive to go and express my dissatisfaction, and it was only for a one night stay. The front desk clerk said she checked the room prior to giving it to me, but said she’s a smoker herself, so maybe she just wasn’t able to smell it.
