Really good location in China Town. The area seems to be very safe. Facilities are not modern, but it is a good enough value for the money you pay and location you are in. Free valet parking which is a huge advantage in San Francisco.

If you check in late, you can only park the car in a lower crowded parking lot and the key must be handed inn at the reception so that they can move the cars. I didn't like that. (Regardless, they took care of the car!) One of the night light in our room (308) did not work.

We need to go to a wedding reception in the afternoon. Pacific Motor Inn was able to accommodate a early check-in so we can get changes. Staff are exceptional friendly. The location is perfect - nearby Chinatown and Italy District where all the great food and entertainment have to offer.

There is nothing I dislike.

The accommodation is walking distance from Pier 39 and some other main attractions. There is also free parking space.

It would need some renovation. During the night was pretty noisy due to proximity of main street.

Great location in Chinatown. Within walking distance of several of the tourist attractions along the wharf and right in the middle of Chinatown. Just go ahead and walk as you will spend the same amount of time if you drive since you will need to drive around looking for parking... which you will then pay for. Complimentary hotel parking was a huge plus and a main reason I chose this hotel. Room was clean, staff was friendly. Room is a bit dated, but that was ok. Not overly quiet, but it is an urban motel, so some street noise was expected. I felt safe at this hotel. Would stay here again.

The location was perfect - Chinatown and North Beach offer many great spots (bars, cafe Trieste, Sentinel Building), it's within walking distance to piers. Great vibe of the streets. Our room was located on fifth floor oriented into parking lot - which means away from noisy traffic, but still with really nice views of the city. Late check-in wasn't an issue and they still had a parking space for us. The room was spacious, AC available, the bed was really comfortable. We were allowed to park in the hotel area even after check-out, so we had more time to explore the city with free parking.

The weather was colder during our stay and it reflected on the room temperature as well. Heating/AC was really loud, so we kept it on just for a while. Walls are quite thin, we heard our neighbours (but it was bearable)

The parking was pretty safe from SF notorious car break ins. The room was very good for an older motel; I have been driving by the Royal Pacific Motor Inn since the 1960's! There was a refrigerator in the room which I wasn't expecting and an ice machine on the ground floor. The elevators all worked and were fast, the heat worked, and they gave you plenty of towels. It's right in the heart of Chinatown and Little Italy so you have a huge choice in eateries. I can recommend the Dim Sum Bistro up the street from the Inn, really good inexpensive eats. That's take out. Lai Hong Lounge is 2 1/2 blocks away if you want good sit down Dim Sum, its a long time favorite of locals (but pricey & crowded.)

Nothing about the hotel but felt a couple of earthquake tremors during the night.

It's location to China Town, tour bus stop very near. Lots of Italian restaurants also very close.

We had the balcony and we did have to share the balcony with the room next door but it was really cool! Everything was very comfortable, nice place to unwind and relax after exploring the city all day.

I didn’t like that there wasn’t a microwave, the location was decent. You could hear everything from the street and there was a lot of homeless folk but they don’t bother anyone, didn’t seem dangerous but it was convenient that there was a lot of places to eat near by!

fantastic location, close to so much good food and public transport. always felt safe in the neighborhood. good size room, clean and comfortable.
