Staff that checked me in was super friendly. Room was affordable and pet friendly.

Not the cleanest place - blanket and sheets were stained, it looked like the floor had maybe been swept but not well - stuff under the bed, kind of gross spot under the desk of unknown origin? Nothing too crazy but could deter a more phase-able traveller - and about on par for my past motel 6 stays.

Non-smoking room smell like cigarette smoke, cigarette burns on bedding...

The staff was fantastic. Very nice and accommodating.

The room looked like the only thing that was cleaned were the sheets (no bed bugs, thank goodness, I checked). The floor was filthy (good thing I brought my slippers), the top of the microwave had dried food and fingerprints all over it, and there were crumbs and spatters on the inside. And there were hardly any available plug-ins and none available close to the bed.

I choose the Motel 6 for its proximity to my daughter's apartment. I can safely park my car and be at her door in 5 minutes. When our visit is over for the day, we each have our private space to go to. I do want to give a shout out to the office staff who are always friendly and helpful.

I've stayed in much better Motel 6 locations. The shower is teeny tiny and the top mattress sinks all the way down. I chalk those up to "get what you paid for." Where I really have the problem is the no smoking rooms that have ash trays (filled ash trays at that!) sitting on the ledge of the airconditioner/heater units. Now how is that stink not going to make its way into the rooms?? One time I stayed there was a couple smoking away and barbecuing right next to the stairwell! Again, I stay there only because of its proximity to family and I do appreciate the office staff.

Never have any problem bringing my pitbull and doesnt cost extra. The staff was very understanding. And had no problem accommodating me again. The head house keeper takes pride in her job. Keepin it clean and tighty. 👍

The fridge wobbled, when I opened it would hit the wall. But I fixed it.

It was on the 1st floor and I was able to snag a parking slot directly in front of my room, even though I was informed by the staff upon Check-in that they could not guarantee a slot would be available for me in their parking lot.

Everything else! The room was advertised as a double with a Queen-sized bed. I chose the room because of the price that booking.com advertised through their site. Yet, I was charged the regular nightly rate of $96.00, approximately $20.00 more than the 'special rate' advertised. And, in direct conflict of their promise stated in no uncertain terms on the Motel 6 - Bellingham's website to NOT use the Credit card you had to provide to hold the reservation, they ran it for the cost of the first night. I had even been asked on the site to check the option if I wished to pay upon arrival, which I did - and they still ran the card. I had intended to use my credit card for payment, not my debit card I had used to reserve the room. This caused an overdraft of my bank account, even though I declined the charges because I thought it was a clerical error on their part only to find out they intended to charge that card all along for the first night. It was around 10:00 pm when I finally arrived at Motel 6, exhausted from a four and a half hour drive in traffic at night. According to their website, there was free coffee and doughnuts available in the Lobby (no Lobby, just a standing room only check-in/office.) In the corner was a Mr. Coffee coffee maker with a coffee-cookie scorched to the bottom of the glass carafe. The clerk informed me that if I wanted coffee in the morning, that I could bring a cup down to the 'Lobby' anytime during the two-hour window allotted for Breakfast. She also stated that I should get there early before it's all gone. I finished checking in and pulled around to my room. I opened the door and was overtaken by the musty dank odor that can best be described as that of a dirty, musty, dry-rotted, wooden gymnasium floor in an abandoned school. I held my breath and ventured inside, luggage in tow.

It was Inexpensive. It was hard to park.

The bed was crammed up against the heat/cooling unit. One person could move at a time. The room was washed in the sounds of I-5 traffic all night.

Comfortable bed. Very clean.

Nothing, it was dirty and people (junkies) were fighting every night.
