the room wasn’t clean properly. the bed sheets had old blood stains on them . and it wasn’t enough towels and wash clothes. the heat took two hours to heat the room up . hair was on the bathroom floor .

The room next door they keep running in and out the door all night

The location and I felt safe and it was super clean inside and on the grounds

The only issue was when we went to leave we stood at the window to turn in the key but no one came. My husband found housekeeping and they told us we were just supposed to leave the key in the room and leave the door open. It wasn't a big deal it just would've been nice to be informed.

They use to have Christmas decorations up at Christmas. The breakfast was better

I had a booking from Wednesday July 27th to Saturday July 30th in room 129, but left at 4AM on the first night and felt uncomfortable the moment we entered. My fiance and I were lying in bed when she got two bite marks on her arm around 1AM. We got up right away and pulled the sheets and blankets off of the bed to look for what might've caused this. After an hour of searching, the only thing we found in the hair-infused, stain-covered sheets was that the plastic mattress protector was ripped to shreds. I immediately reserved another hotel for later that day on the 28th after check-in at 4PM as my fiance has unfortunately dealt with bedbugs before and knows the signs and was very suspicious. We re-made the bed and laid down fully clothed on top of all the sheets and blankets with the lights on. At 3AM we were up again after she was bitten in three distinct spots on her back (bedbugs bite in a straight line as they crawl on your skin). I immediately went to the front desk/drive-up window to check out and let them know of the problems that are potentially in every room, as bedbugs spread fast. Thankfully my other booking was able to squeeze me into their last room at 4AM on the 28th. I also took pictures when these happened and sent them to the local department of health for Newport News. I'd have taken more pictures of the room if I knew I could upload them for this review. There were also a few people out very late hanging out talking loudly and drinking in the parking lot and the refrigerator smelled like beer and the microwave smelled like they recently heated up a pile of curry on the glass microwave plate.

The tv was a good size.

All of the reviews here are saying it’s a good property , no bugs , great service etc. but this is NOT the case. It has bugs , customer service is very very poor , the bed are horribly uncomfortable & more. We arrived at our location around 6:00PM and had to check in at the night window. I checked in & paid and went to our room. There’s a sign that says no refunds etc on the window ..Upon entering the room it looks ok , very simple two beds , microwave , mini fridge (a larger one ) sink , bathroom etc.pretty decent tv hung on the wall . However, when we went to go in our room there was a gentleman coming out spraying something . The room smelled muggy and the ac barely worked .. but because we wouldn’t be in the room much due to tickets to other places we didn’t need anything fancy. However , the door was really hard to open , I personally couldn’t open the door from outside or inside , my husband had too. There was very skiddish people walking around outside at night , and it was hard to even get any rest. When we woke up the next morning we found a roach in the bathroom behind the door. My husband said to let it go that night so I did since it was just one …. We went to Busch gardens as planned & while there I recieved a email saying our reservation was cancelled , which concerned me so I called the property multiple times and finally got an answer and he said it was ok it’s where the reservation was under my husbands name and I checked us in… we returned late at night after being away all day & when we went in our room still had trash in the bathroom , our trash had been picked up in the other trash can but no bag put back and towels were laid on the dresser …. We didn’t think much of it … however our son is severe asthmatic and whatever was sprayed set his asthma off. This morning When we woke up there was a couple other roaches and bugs in the bathroom , we packed up and left early.

lamps were destroyed, beds were itchy and smelly.

The bed was comfortable and the air conditioning worked great.

The rugs need to be shampooed they were sticky and gross feeling. The people in the room next to us slammed doors and yelled all night. The jacuzzi tub is more like a bathtub with keys thought it would be bigger. The shower looked like it had black mold growing in it. Over all not a good stay will not stay again.
