The casa exceeds expectations in every way …. from the warm welcome and welcome package to the tranquility and cleanliness, all simply fantastic. Excellent hosts who were very thoughtful with a lovely welcoming gift and always on hand if required. Good rooms and pool. Well equipped throughout with towels for rooms and pool, well stocked kitchen, internet tv, games, books and pool toys. Mike also helped arrange hire car which was very helpful. Overall the villa was very good value with great hosts.

Outstanding! The location is ideal being a quiet residential area in Tias, yet very easy to access the whole of the island by car.. Undoubtedly, the best appointed luxury villa we have ever stayed in - most important if, like us, you want to use the kitchen to make the odd meal or.... several meals. And.............the heated pool is a real bonus!

Just back from an amazing holiday. Mike and Wendy are perfect hosts. Nothing is too much trouble. They even provided us with a hot meal as we arrived late in the evening. The villa has everything that you need. We especially loved the heated pool, which is very private. There are loads of different seating areas which means you can be either in the sun or shade or just away from any breeze. We sat in them all.

We had a fantastic week over New Years Eve in Mikes place. The rooms are very generous, and Design the proximity to airport and Main street very quiet. The Pool is very clean and heated, so not too cold even in the late afternoon. The terrace next to the main bedroom offers great views of the sunrise in the morning. There is nothing one could wish for more, everything is available: bbq, dishwasher, oben, 2 Coffee machines, washing machine, beach and Pool towels and Equipment, Yoga mats, Chess game, Tons of books, etc. Mike and his wife were very welcoming and super responsive. All in all, highly recommended!

My partner and I stayed for 10 days and it was everything we wanted and more for a relaxing holiday. The villa was peaceful, homely and clean, local shops and beaches are only a short car ride away, and Wendy and Mike were perfect hosts - so welcoming and helpful. We didn’t rent a car, but the taxi service there was friendly and quick. We highly recommend staying here, and are already planning a trip back next year!

Mike provided clear instructions with photos for getting to the villa from the airport, a 5-minute journey. There are also plenty of taxis available outside the airport. On arrival, there was a lovely basket of essentials, fruit, water, wine, and a cheese and ham platter. The villa had everything you could have wanted to enjoy your first day without having to pop to the hypermarket. The villa has many home basics, washing machine, dishwasher, BBQ and cooker and also some we didn’t expect, two coffee machines, smart TV, fast internet and several fans, it honestly felt like home during our two weeks stay.Mike and Wendy were extremely accommodating and couldn’t do enough for us. They supplied us with an extra bed to enable our son to sleep on. They rearranged the room to allow plenty of room for the children to have extra space including the extra bed.The pool was loved by all. In the cupboard, they proved extra bits and bobs for the children to enjoy playing within the pool. The towels and bedding are changed as promised. During our stay, Wendy popped in to clean the villa allowing us to enjoy our holiday and not needing to complete our normal daily chores at home. During our time in Lanzarote, we traveled the island and I would definitely recommend hiring a car. The villa is a good base from which to explore the island with everything being within 30 minutes’ drive. This was the first time that I had drove in another country and I loved it. The roads are simple, easy to navigate and not busy. There are petrol stations everywhere so no need to worry about filling up your car.We had a fun-packed holiday, so much to do around the Island i.e. buggies, go-karting, zoo, camels, volcanos, beaches, aquarium, water parks, markets and so much more. We can’t wait for our holiday next year where we will be returning to Casa Maja.

The villa is superbly looked after by Mike and Wendy. Welcoming! Great that they provided a basket of a few necessities, plus wine, beer, Cava, milk, tea, coffee, etc. Not many rental villas provide this. The pool (covered) is large and welcoming. Nothing is too much trouble for them and as they live locally easy to get hold of. He gave us a tour of Tias and the local amenities in his car. If you want a relaxing, quiet holiday go to the Casa Maja. All the rooms are spacious and there is plenty of outside area, where you can relax in comfy chairs, dine outside and sunbathe. The supermarket and restaurants are a 20 minute stroll, or 5 minutes by car. 4 euros return by taxi if loaded down with food, etc.. I walked to the supermarket every day and I enjoyed the walk, with a refreshing cooling breeze. As everything was to me and my sons liking we will soon be back. To me, this relaxing holiday was paradise. Peter

CASA MAJA If you fancy a villa full of character, high vaulted ceilings with loads of nooks and crannies, beautiful wood, and a very rustic, but extremely homely feel with all the mod cons you could dream of, then Casa Maja would fit the bill totally. There were so many inside and outside spaces and areas for sitting in, the outside having its own private courtyard at the front, as well has having a beautiful garden with a great pool at the back which was totally private. I am partially sighted, and find going on holiday to various rentals a bit of a challenge but once I had got my bearings i had no difficulty whatsoever manoeuvring around the villa due to all the spaciousness of the lounge, the master bedroom with its amazing balcony/terrace with sea views, and especially the fantastic kitchen which is fully equipped to the highest standard. Great showers, and all 3 rooms ensuite, make this the complete package for a relaxing and superb place to stay for your holidays. The Host, Mike, and his Partner Wendy, made our visit complete. The care and attention to detail in making our holiday one to remember was second to none by this amazing couple. Everything was super clean, and we had towels changed 4 times whilst there for our 2 weeks and also the beds changed regularly too. They provided us with a welcome basket – and what a basket it was! Everything there, including a platter of meats, cheese, bread, and fruit, beer and wine, so we could simply turn up, and enjoy our first day or two without having to go shopping. Tias is a lovely spot to stay, not too far from reaching either the north or the south of the island and within easy distance to all the tourist attractions, wonderful beaches, little villages all with white washed low rise villas and apartments. Such a pretty island, and one that captures your heart. We would recommend Casa Maja, unreservedly. It’s magical and we've come away from our visit feeling we've made new friends in the Owners. Thank you both for giving us such an amazing holiday. We will be back for sure.

Last year we already had the joy for a stay in Casa Maja and we thought it might be a good idea to do so again. Having that in mind, we didn’t get disappointed! Booking the property was quick and easy again, with appropriate and adequate responses by the owner. Very convenient. On the day of arrival, we had a smooth process of getting from the plane into the baggage reclaim and rental pick-up. And due to the short drive to the property, it took our 6 & 8 year old boys less than 50 minutes to jump into the pool at Casa Maja from the moment we landed. We found the property’s owner waiting for us on arrival, and immediately had the feeling to be at home with snacks and fruits in the kitchen, some presents for the children and cold beverages in the fridge. If and when needed, the owner was very helpful during our stay. Though not without taking care of our privacy. Very flexible also, when we decided to let the grandparents come over for the last week, this has been taken care of very nicely. Bedlinen & bathroom towels have been replaced in and on time and the property has even been cleaned thoroughly during our two week stay. All over we had a very pleasant stay and do highly recommend this property for a holiday on the wonderful Island of Lanzarote.

We were amazed at how inexpensive food and drink generally were in the local supermarket. My preferred activity on the island is scuba diving, with great dive sites located a few miles from the property. Terrific beaches can be found at Puerto Del Carmen, a few miles away, where a water taxi can be taken for a couple of euros to Puerto Calero - a fantastic harbour and marina quiet with terrific restaurants. Fire Mountain is a must visit as is the village of El Golfo, incredible scenery and enormous waves. We spent a month in Cas Maja in 2018 and will be returning every year. Perfect for couples or families.

We have just returned from a 10 day stay at Casa Maja. The villa is well situated in a residential area, nice and quiet and away from the tourist traps. We loved Tías, a quiet town with a lovely high street with everything you could need, a well stocked supermarket, bars, coffee shops and restaurants. Only 10 mins from the airport but you wouldn’t know it, very peaceful. The villa was absolutely spotless and well appointed. There was a lovely welcome pack on arrival. We wanted for nothing. Loved the pool and spent most of the days by it. Mike lives close by and was really helpful. He knows the island well and could point us in the right direction. We hired a car which we thought essential to make the most of the island. We will be definitely be returning in the future. The villa is a credit to you, Mike and Wendy..... Wir sind mit unserer vierköpfigen Familie bereits das dritte mal bei Mike gewesen (und der vierte Urlaub bereits gebucht). Es ist immer wieder ein absolut entspannter und traumhafter Urlaub. My brother and I spent a lovely two weeks in Mike’s Villa. We arrived early evening on 4 July 2018, Mike had arranged for a lovely welcome evening meal for us on arrival. It was also true about the welcome pack of essential food and drink being available. Mike showed us around his lovely villa and made us feel really welcome. When you walk in, it just feels like home. It shows true pride of ownership in every detail. The kitchen has every item you could ever want, and all are high quality. The pots and pans are top-notch. Stove, dishwashers and laundry machine all worked perfectly. Mike also is a wealth of information about the Island as he has lived there for 25+ years. Mike is very accessible and very accommodating, living nearby. The next day he kindly showed us the best way to get into Tias, where the local supermarkets were and where to get the local buses. Mike’s property is in a quite lovely part of Tias and the property is a perfect base from which to set off and explore the whole island at your leisure or as part of a tour group as there are plenty of tourist centres where you can book trips around the island. There is a good bus route in the centre of Tias and also local taxis available for about 10 euros if you do not want to drive everywhere. The beds are comfortable, the location is excellent and close to everything you might want or need. Yet, it is a quiet oasis of calm.TV worked great with lots of various shows/moves you are able to access. You were provided with clean towels frequently. We had use of a private pool which was good for me as I am not a great swimmer and appreciated the fact that I could practice my swimming most days. In fact I got quite a sun tan. The pool was cleaned and checked quite frequently. Lanzarote is beautiful and if you have never been, you should go. I am not sure there is another place on earth quite like it. The entire Island is neat and clean, the people are amazing and friendly. The scenery is other-worldly and the walks along the promenades by the beach in Puerto Del Carman are very user friendly, having a separate lane for bike users. Many thanks to Mike and Wendy for allowing the use of their property. It was, indeed, a privilege and we hope to be able to come back again soon.

This is the cleanest, neatest place I have ever stayed. I manage a large commercial cleaning company with nearly 1,000 clients: cleanliness is important to me! The owner, Mike, designed and built this property from the ground up. When you walk in, it just feels like home. It shows true pride of ownership in every detail. The kitchen has every item you could ever want, and all are high quality. The pots and pans are top-notch. Lots of spices as well. Stove, dishwashers and laundry machine all worked perfectly. I have rented numerous times with VRBO/Homeaway and this property is the best, by far. To top it off, Mike provided a "starter package" that included home-made spaghetti Bolognese (it was delicious!), with garlic bread. Also included was 2 bottles of wine, a bottle of champagne, crackers, chips, jams, milk, tea, juice and numerous other items to get us through a day or 2. Incredibly thoughtful. Mike also is a wealth of information about the Island as he has lived there for 25+ years. The owner is very accessible and very accommodating. The beds are comfortable, the location is excellent and close to everything you might want or need. Yet, it is a quiet oasis of calm.TV worked great with lots of various language shows/moves to access. The pool and loungers were all in excellent working order. Nothing is amiss in this property. Absolutely wonderful holiday. Everything you could think of is provided in this gorgeous Villa. The kitchen has everything you would need to prepare your own meals which we took advantage of as we love trying local food when in Lanzarote. We loved the Nespresso machine and bought one on our return home. The welcome basket was really appreciated and we love that as returning visitors Mike includes certain things he knows we like. The pool as ever was spotless and just the right temperature which felt lovely and warm even when the odd cloud appeared which was very rare. This was our 4th time at Casa Maja and we have already booked for next year. It's the perfect Villa holiday you will definitely want to return to. Thank you Mike & Wendy

We had an excellent holiday staying at Casa Maja. The accommodation exceeded our expectation and was a perfect location for exploring the island as well as being very convenient for supermarkets and restaurants. Getting to the beach or doing some of the lovely coastal walks is a breeze - everything is so accessible. The owner, Mike, couldn’t have done anymore to help and assist - his communications from the minute we booked to us arriving were nothing short of perfect including booking airport pick up car hire for us at really good rates. Mike is there when/if you need his assistance otherwise you are free to get on with your holiday. You can book this villa in the full knowledge that you will have a great time in a great place and be looked after by a host that cares about you, you’re family and your holiday. We had a lovely 8 days in this well appointed and stylish villa. The pool is heated a welcome treat for visitors during the chillier months. The garden is secluded and spacious, there is a lovely view of the surrounding hills and the sea from the upstairs very large balcony. The whole villa is very well equipped and Mike the owner who lives close by is very helpful and provides a really good welcome pack. Wendy his partner is the most amazing cleaner and the place is spotless. It is hard to find anything that is not good about the place, our only possible grouch could be that the streaming television connection is a bit hit and miss. Susi

We spent 9 very enjoyable days at Casa Maja, despite the weather being less kind than we had hoped. The villa was everything that it was described as being, both inside and out. This is a really nice, spacious villa, with three good en suite bedrooms, spacious living room and kitchen and very well equipped all round. It is private and secluded and the garden and pool are a real sun trap. Mike was very hospitable and keeps the property in excellent condition. Overall a great place to relax.

We booked Casa Maja well in advantage for our winter break and did so for our third family break to Lanzarote. Perhaps it has been the best so far, not only thanks to the really nice weather we enjoyed, but sure thanks to the lovely Casa Maja we rented from Mike. In preparation Mike was very helpful with suggestions for car hire, shop opening times (as we arrived just before Christmas) and clear directions to Casa Maja from the airport. On arrival day he welcomed us with a full welcome package (beer/ wine/ snacks), makes us feeling at home from the start. For the kids some nice presents under the Christmas cactus made their day. We stayed for 11 days and enjoyed every single day. The kitchen is fully equipped, the lounge cozy and comfortable and the bedrooms nice and quiet. The beds should be mentioned as they are really good, outstanding quality! Furthermore the location is ideal for exploring the island, wine yards around one corner, beaches around the other. So our overall experience with this lovely villa has been very good, we can highly recommend both the villa and its owner for a pleasant stay on Lanzarote!

we spent more than 5 weeks at this lovely house and we were treated like guest in a Hotel; every few days fresh towels, weekly fresh sheets and cleaning and at the day of our arrival ( it was a late arrival) we even got the offer of a hot meal!! the house has much space for everybody and you can enjoy to sit outside either to the poolside in a louge or in the lunch or dining area at a big table. all 3 bedrooms have fully equipped bathrooms and the masterbedroom has a more than large Terrasse with seaview.
