The staff was friendly and helpful. The location was convenient.

When we arrived we were informed the pool was out of order which was a huge disappointment and one of the reasons we decided to stay in a hotel instead of drive. The beds were very soft and uncomfortable. None of us slept well and we woke up with back aches. The heater made a ticking sound that made it impossible to sleep and we turned it off. The hook on the bathroom door was coming off. The bedding on the pull out sofa was dirty. The room was moderately clean but there were some areas that could have been cleaned more throughly. The breakfast was not good. There were no plates, items were over microwaved, and there wasn’t enough of anything. One person was working very hard and microwaving breakfast items to put out and also running the front desk.

The location was easy to find and in a nice area close to a bunch of local things to do.

The site says there is a hot tub and shows pictures of one and there is not. The pool was down all weekend for maintenance and we weren't told that at the check-in. Understandable things happen but that should be told to guests and it should not state they have a hot tub if and show pictures if of one if they do not. Very misleading. I tried to take a shower and had to tightened my shower head to even shower because the water sprayed the entire bathroom. The hook on the back of the bathroom door came loose from me trying to hang one towel. It was all little over looked things but shouldn't happen in a hotel you pay to stay at.

The location was convenient and easy to find.

First, the concierge was incredibly rude upon check-in. He asked for an ID and credit card, and when I handed him my retired military ID, he insisted he need to see my driver’s license. while pulling it out, I remarked that he had asked for an ID and not a drivers license. instead of apologizing for misspeaking or agreeing that he hadn’t specified, he very aggressively told me while shaking my ID at me that “this works for you over there, but here you can only use civilian ID” which was completely false and also just plain rude! Second, the facilities were very poorly maintained for the price we paid to stay here (they were price-gouging due to the U of M game). Room door was left ajar and wasn’t even shut when we walked in. Room was also musty and hot. The bathroom had a lightbulb burnt out on one side of the vanity. The towel hook fell off the back of the door when I went to hang my towel to shower; and the shower had mold growing in it where they needed to re-caulk it and where a soap tray had clearly been removed from the tile wall. A big patched area had not been repainted in the room, just left white. The curtain was falling right off the rod on one side. The bed linens did NOT seem very fresh at all and the whole room just felt dirty. The pool looked disgusting and green and somehow had debris floating in it, even though it was indoors. All in all, YUCK. Will never stay here again!!!! Not recommended.

price and there were several large red carpet stains on the floor in Room 213. Also the first night there was a noise coming from someone near the refrigerator that kept us up through out the night
