Location was fine, and staff in most cases friendly and helpful and breakfast service was good

On the last two days of stay they where doing maintenance work from 08.30 to 16.30 which was very noisy, we were unable to relax in room and as we booked via booking.com they weren't interested in helping unless we paid more to move to another room.

We love the location of Ala Moana. This is the 4th time we stayed in this hotel. Housekeeping consistently cleans our room, even the balcony table and chairs. Super fast elevators.

When we checked in Ala Moana last July 22, we were told by front office staff that booking.com cancelled our booking. There is no reason as the room has been paid for. I showed the staff our booking and REFERENCE NUMBER. He instead asked me to contact booking.com-which I did. I also asked the staff if there is a room available for us-just in case, and he said that Ala Moana was fully booked. Upon calling Booking.com, customer care informed me that the booking is good and that he was looking at our booking that very moment. The customer service agent then said he will call the Ala Moana. When I went to the same front office staff, he said that booking.com reinstated my booking. (with a fully booked hotel-is just that easy to get a room?) Just like that! According to booking.com, the reservation was not readily found because there was a mix up with my middle name and surname-SO WHAT ABOUT THE BOOKING REFERENCE NUMBER WHICH I SHOWED TO THE STAFF? We came from New York and it was a gruelling 10 hr flight. We couldnt wait to get to our favorite Ala Moana Hotel-only to be told our booking was cancelled but then apparently not. What really happened here? Incompetence?

Convenience of the location. The room had only two pillows on the bed but house keeping responded very quick and efficient when I requested for 4 more extra pillows with no questions. The balcony you cannot open. It opens a little bit and looks dirty from the inside but overall it's a good deal for the price I paid for.

Cleaner balcony and cleaner pull out couch. When I opened up the pull out couch there were a lot of stains on it so I had to cover it with the bed sheet from the bed to make it feel less dirty.

location and staff are excellent. stag is always ready to help good to have microwave and mini fridge

The Pint & Jigger was a great place to eat & drink. The Ala Moana Mall was right next door.

Parking was cramped in the hotel parking garage and expensive

Liked location by the mall, loved the room near ice machine, view of ocean, Lynne was a wonderful housekeeper, always a smile on her face, did great job cleaning the room, making nice tight beds, was in 1617 Nice fast elevator, great pool area, loved the huts so great for relaxing, helpful staff outside door for getting taxis, getting buses etc

Location was good, but very noisy from street, noisy noisy cars, motorcycle, reving engenies, could not keep patio door open, also needs a fan in bathroom for moisture There were no fire pits by pool area as seen in pics, was disappointed

I Like the room and the view from my balcony. It is clean and very convenient.
