I didn't like that money is being held on my card for my stay & I had to use my cash to pay for the room. Also the money being held hasn't been refunded yet. It's one thing to hold my card # its another to pull money from it. When the booking.com site said I didn't have to prepay for my stay.

We liked the location and the breakfast. Staff was very attentive and kept refilling everything (without guests first having to ask for it). Pool area looked well-kept though we didn’t use the pool.

We have asked for a quiet room and were told that we were given one of the quietest rooms of the hotel. However, as it had snowed the day of our arrival, we weren’t able to sleep the entire first night because the snow was removed right in front of our window (with a loud beep-beep-beep every other minute). Complained to the hotel staff about it and they just told us that the other side of the hotel was also loud because of the highway. However, this intermittent beeping sound was certainly worse than a constant background noise from some cars (especially since there is less traffic during the night). They also explained that the snow was removed from a subcontractor so they couldn’t do anything about it. Would have preferred an apology or some kind of compensation instead of excuses. They definitely could have done better. Second night was ok, third night my husband got major back issues from the bed, so we won’t be staying here again.
