The location of the Winthrop Inn is excellent with easy access to everything. The room was clean and spacious, although dated. There's plenty of parking and while the room overlooked the parking lot, the view beyond the lot is pleasant. The check in process was done via texts and very smooth.

The exterior of the building is in dire need of upkeep. The exterior stairs leading to the second floor look like they are about to collapse. Breakfast isn't served until 9 AM which is very late for guests looking for breakfast before heading out for the day and compared to other places in the area. The breakfast is exclusively cereal, granola bars, toast and waffles. It's not worth waiting until 9 AM for it.

Location was good, room size was good, liked the waffle maker for breakfast.

Pool still out of order (would have made my rating a 9 out of 10 if it was operational).

For the price, the room was just fine. There was lots of room, there was a small fridge and microwave and there was a table to work at, plus some other clear floor space. Staff was very friendly and very helpful. The hot tub was great. It is very close to the ski trails and relatively easy to walk to all things in Winthrop. Also pretty central for all ski trails access.

The hotel is pretty tired and old. But you get what you pay for, so did not expect more. The bed was a bit too soft for our liking, but again that's a personal preference. Windows are pretty thin and the walls are pretty thin, but none of that disturbed our stay.

Breakfast is not available until 9am so too late for people that are up and going earlier than that. Would be better if breakfast started at 7am.
