Superb location with a wonderful view of the Pacific ocean and Maui. We felt quite at home...

This is the house you're looking for. Everything about it is authentic and every item inside has a story. The house is clean with a well equipped kitchen and very comfortable beds. There was even a telescope. The house is better looking in person than it is in the photos. We will definitely be returning, particularly as we got engaged there! We were so happy there that we could have stayed forever. The host, Chris, was fantastic. The care he took to see we were happy and comfortable was on par was a delightful surprise. Chris provided us with food to feed the pretty white goat and with more than enough firewood to have as many cosy evenings as we wanted. When we had a box of a hundred pink roses flown in, he thoughtfully carried it inside so the blooms wouldn't get warm and wilt. He even found us a hammock.

I have nothing negative to say.I liked this house. It was a charming abode on a beautiful piece of land with some goats and horses and cows, and even a little family of wild pigs. The little piglets hopped around so much that we first thought they were bunnies. The view of the ocean and the view of the night sky were both incredible.

Incredible location! The house is gorgeous and very well taken care of.

Cleaning fee ($225) is super high for one night - considering we arrived at 6PM and left at 11AM.

1. The actual property was much much higher than my expectations! From your house, you can see the volcanoes on Maui, the blue sea, the ranch, and at night, the stars, the rainbow under the moonlight, and freight ships... It is so calming and able to cure everyone's soul... 2. The animals! you can feed horses, goats, and get close with them every day, they are super friendly and cute! 3. The host is the best, he and his family provided everything we need from daily necessities to even surfboards, fishing tools, anything you could think of! The host also took his time and gave us a FUN half-day trip for fishing and sightseeing along the northern coast, he is knowledgable and professional at fishing! Nothing better than experiencing outdoors with a local! 4. Interior decorations are very interesting and full of history, many things are older than me even (~20), well designed *Note: I almost never write reviews, but for this KOHALA LODGE, this paradise, I can't help myself! You cannot get this calmness and happiness from hotels, not even Burj Al Arab in Dubai. IT IS 1000% WORTH THE MONEY!!

The location is absolutely stunning! We woke up every day seeing a chain of Hawaiian Islands, magical. My 6 years old daughter loved the animals. It’s a spacious, clean, beautiful house and surroundings. Unique feeling.
