Comfortable room with everything we needed, thoughtful touches with flowers and fruit. Friendly hosts, we enjoyed our chat sitting in the garden, the glass of wine went down very well.
Not really an issue for us but steep steps from the sidewalk could be a problem in wet weather.

historical and beautiful house

Loved the charm and history of the area. House is conveniently located. THe Peony suite had a nice view of the river. Great for just drinking coffee and unwinding. Liked that no key was needed to get in room.
No staff on site which would have been nice. There is no breakfast at this time. Presume that is due to covid.

I loved the room. I had originally been booked into a bigger room, but I called to request a room with a bathtub, so was given a smaller room with the bathroom across the hall. The room had an amazing little alcove with two windows, and easy chair, and a fuzzy blanket--I spent a lot of time there with my book. Just lovely.
I liked everything, but if I can give some input, it would be to say that the mattress leaned over toward the bedside table quite a bit.

Great location and wry clean. while this is an old house, everything was well-kept and up to date. liked all the books and the kitchen amenities and the amount of room we had.
The futon couch in the Moose Lodge was a bit uncomfortable to relax and/or sit on, and there were a few things needing to be replaced or fixed (I.e., the fan in the Moose Lodge bathroom and the light switch in the bathroom). but honestly that’s drilling way down for this price and place because everything overall was wonderful.

This quaint little house is set just behind all of the shopping and eateries. It’s in a great location!
Lots of steep stairs! But otherwise nothing!

This was a lovely stay - the room was very comfortable and had a nice view of the city and the bay. The location was great, you could walk anywhere in town from the B&B but it was nice and quiet at the property. We had the complementary breakfast one morning, which was great - the owners provided a basket for each room.

Breakfast, which is eaten in your room, was very nice. We loved sipping a glass of wine on our balcony overlooking the city and the river.
Everything was very clean and pleasantly decorated.
The mattress in our room was very old, soft in a bad way and sloped. When we examined it we saw handles on the sides of it. Mattresses have not been made with handles for a very long time.
There are many steps from the street to the second floor rooms which might be a problem for some folks.

Location excellent.
Breakfast too high carb; could have used a hard-boiled egg or full fat unsweetened yogurt (a checklist to request breakfast food would have been nice.) Didn't know how to find kitchen to access refrigerator. Next room neighbors slammed doors a few times and took late showers. Would have been nice to have host's recommendations for food - some B&Bs have binder with menus, etc. Some people like the contactless experience, but I feel I missed out meeting other people.

Lovely Victorian house!!! Felt like I was staying in a piece of history- very fitting for a place as full of history as Astoria! Wonderful stay highly recommend the Peony Room it was gorgeous!!!
No microwave/refrigerator in the room.

The room was cute and super clean. Easy check in process and parking was easy in the street out front. A simple (warmed muffin, yoghurt, fresh fruit, and orange juice) was delivered in a basket each morning.
Nothing. It was exactly what we expected.

Excellent breakfast. Breakfast brought to the room and served elegantly Comfortable bed. Location in town. Willing to store bike safely in the garage. Little balcony was pleasant.
Room was very, very small. Bathroom down the hall- this was noted on website though. Generally in need of an update- carpets especially. a bit on the grubby side. Unacceptable that there was no general "hospitality" area to use the microwave, wine glasses etc that was advertised on their website- this should be updated.

The breakfast was yummy. The location was great. Close to downtown/shopping/restaurants. The view was great. We had a little balcony with a beautiful view of the Columbia River and town. Beautiful 1888 home.
The room we were in, The Dahlia room, was very small. There was only room for one chair. one of us had to eat breakfast on the bed. It would be a good room for one person. The other rooms we were able to see were considerably larger. Lots of stairs to get from street to room. I emailed the manager with questions twice before our trip and didn't get any response.

The house overall was charming and the breakfast delivered to our room was a wonderful surprise! The location was also impossible to beat - walking distance to most of the shops and restaurants in town. The no-contact check-in was also a breeze!
There was a stain on one of the lampshades that was a little alarming. We turned it around and the room was otherwise clean.

location was perfect, everything we wanted to see was within 5 miles. property was so quaint and had amazing charm. loved all the little things placed in the room to give it character. didn’t use the robes, but I appreciated the thought.
I think the only thing would be the limited kitchen. with no oven and very few dishes (and tiny sink) it would be difficult if you planned to cook. we had no intentions of cooking so it was fine. there was a nice dining area, but I feel it could have been replaced with some more comfortable seating and a smaller table for space. also the jetted tub sounded like it was going to explode so while I was excited about it, we chose not to use it.

The breakfast was hot and delivered in a basket to the door of our tiny room. We never met any staff or guests. The experience, because of Covid, was not what a BandB prides itself on.
If you are a person who cannot climb two flights of very rickety and windy stairs that were built 100 years ago and carry up your luggage, I do not recommend this hotel without a TV.

Beds comfortable, spacious bathroom hot shower, gas stove kept room toasty warm. Breakfast brought to the room at 8:45am was very nice - baked frittata, yogurt/fresh berries, pastry, OJ - baked apples!
They should let guests know about all of the steps getting into the house from the street and all the steps to the upstairs rooms. Thought we'd see more of the river but our room looked at a Public Works brick building. : (
And, the street next to the building was a super steep hill so cars very noisily "gunned" it to get up the hill.

This was a very comfortable place to stay…nice linens and towels…comfortable bed…walking distance to town and waterfront.
Close to town; spacious;

My husband and I brought my parents to town for a visit, and since my mother has to use a walker, I needed a place that would be accessible for her. The Moose Suites worked well for that need. In addition, we appreciated the spaciousness of the accommodations, as well as the ability to have a common area to relax with my parents in the morning and evening (which would not have been a possibility at a regular hotel). The ease of check-in was great, also. If the weather had been nicer, I think that we would have enjoyed the tables on the deck, or even the table tucked away in the garden on the side of the house. The grounds were beautiful.
The beds were a bit high for my mother, though she was able to manage. The approach to the lodging entrance from the street was also a bit challenging for her, with the slanted sidewalk to maneuver between the vehicle and the more level walkway that led to our room. My husband said that a memory foam mattress would be more comfortable, but I found the bed comfortable enough.

Location was great. Close to town. Liked the little balcony outside of room.
Lots of stairs so if have heavy suitcases, might be difficult to get to room.

Great breakfast delivered to our room each morning, quaint vintage ambiance. Room is smartly set up to be able to dine in room, had our own private bath and balcony. Owner very responsive and on site, and a very good cook! A peaceful, quiet get away easily walkable to Bouy beer and town.
There are a lot of stairs to the room we stayed in,, not a problem for us but might be for some. But there are other room choices in main level too!
