The hotel was a town away from Capital Reef, so fairly close by.

Initially, we thought we could buy breakfast from the cafe but they no longer had this option. The room was comfortable enough. There's no "office, " you run into people working there for assistance.

The motel’s exterior is rather humble but the interior has been updated and is clean and comfortable

The air conditioning unit was confusing to operate. The instructions supplied by the management did not match the remote control supplied to us. After many attempts to navigate the system we called management to ask for assistance. Unfortunately it was after 10 in the evening. The manager came to our room several minutes later and was very irritated with us, unhappy that we had interrupted her sleep. We apologized but it was not well received. She was able to get it started and scolded us that we had not read the instructions properly and warned us not to touch it again. We won’t be spending a night there again. By the way, we were the only customers they had that night.

The room was clean and decently appointed. The towels were better than usual for a 2 star motel.

Since it's a 2 star motel, I can't think of anything that is not expected at that level.
