What a wonderful spot! Close to town and most places we wanted to go. The views are beautiful and they create perfect areas for people to enjoy them. We spent many hours on the balcony just soaking in the peace and beauty. It was quiet and relaxing.

Our only challenge was no available electrical outlets near the bed so if you are used to using your devices (alarm, white noise), you will need to adjust😁

Sunsets were great.

The check in was very quick and efficient and the staff very friendly as well as everyone we encountered while there. The amenities are very good and the property is located on the bay. Beautiful views from every room at the property. Their hot tub is located on the third floor offering amazing views of the bay. You can walk to almost everywhere you need to go, and the area is bike friendly too. Breakfast was substantial. I love the make your own waffle station and they had jams, whipping creme and powdered sugared for your waffles as well as syrup.

The pillows and mattresses were a little on the firm side, so my neck didn't feel so good in the morning. Bring your own pillow if you like it soft or low profile.

The view was terrific, the room was nice, but the bed was very hard, we didn't sleep very well. Due to the coastal storm and severe wind and rain we did not get to try the breakfast, pool, hot tub or exercise room, which we did look forward to. The shower was great...great water pressure. All in all, we had a pleasant stay.

Weather but that was Mother Nature. The bed was extremely hard, so we both had a hard time sleeping; woke up with our hips and backs hurting. The roof on the balcony leaked water a lot, so sitting outside during the rain was not possible. We found a gap under the front door that allowed the severe wind to come in the room. We still had a nice stay and would happily return.

We had a bay-facing balcony where we watched the sunset. Our single-queen room was spacious, with a sofa, easy chair, table with chairs, desk, and 6-drawer dresser that made the room very comfortable. Also there were two sinks!

We loved everything about this place. Our room was super clean and cozy and the view from the balcony is just incredible! They could have charged us 50% more and we would have still been fine with it.

The staff was wonderful. They made sure you had what you needed, without being intrusive. All were very friendly. It rained a fair bit while I was there but it was such a quiet place even just sitting watching the rain was relaxing. Oh and they have free breakfast, which unlike some places is great. Its kept fresh and hot from beginning to end, and they refill it so there is still food if you aren't up early. While its not made to order, there are several choices. These range from your standard scrambled eggs, to sausage gravy and fresh biscuits. Fresh fruit also is there most days with the occasional treat like fresh made banana bread. The views from the balcony, of my room were wonderful. Saw cranes, geese, and sea birds as well as an occasional dolphin.

I missed having a microwave in the room. The restaurants in the area give large portions. If I couldn't finish, there was no point in taking it back as there was no way to reheat it.

This is an older hotel that has been nicely updated. If you like fancy hotels with lots of bells and whistles this isn't the place for you. We prefer smaller places and look for value. All the rooms face the bay and the view was spectacular. We're birders, and saw egrets, herons, various ducks, and fishing kingfishers from our balcony throughout each day. The breakfast was very good - fresh biscuits and sausage gravy, waffle makers, very good coffee, and a friendly cook. It's a nice setup in a separate small building on the site. The outdoor pool was very clean, and the indoor pool looked nice although we didn't use it. Front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. Great spot for a weekend getaway and only a minute from downtown and about 5 minutes to the Wildlife Refuge entrance. We'll definitely stay here again.

The only negative was the full size bed - a little small for us but it was very comfortable. The headboard was built in to the wall so it probably couldn't be replaced without significant cost.

the reclining soda. I have issues sleeping and spent one night on the sofa which was firm and comfortable.

It needs a chair with a reading light. I do needlework and needed more light to work.
