I liked the privacy and location. It was not far from La Jolla beach or aquarium where my husband and I took our baby. The place though small was great for us and enough space for our things.

Only improvement I would suggest from experience is portable heater that we had access to. We were cold at certain times and the electric heater took forever to heat the area. It worked better in the bedroom than in living room where we were struggling because we were trying to eat and watch a movie. This last part is just a personal individual opinion, but I tend to enjoy washing clothes before leaving so i can neatly pack the suitcase and not have laundry when I go home.

The location was nice and close to the beach and was convenient to enjoy the San Diego area. The apartment was small however that was expected and was suitable for the amount of days we were staying.

We had a VERY LONG DAY, a very early morning flight and working until 5pm local time. It was utterly devastating to finally arrive at the apartment to find that it was dirty and had not been cleaned. Even though we received a message saying it was ready earlier than expected. After trying to work out something with Vacasa they were extremely unhelpful and I DO NOT RECOMMEND using them for ANY property. They are the combination of all the worst aspects of hotel and private property rentals combined with NONE of the good aspects. We complained about the dirty apt. and said we would leave for a short time when their cleaners completed cleaning the apartment but please let us know when they were done. Vacasa indicated that it was not possible to let us know when they were done!!! WHAT??? You mean cellular telephones do not work? How is that possible in the modern world?? When we indicated we wanted a refund for one night they stated NO, they addressed the issues!! How, the carpet was still stained, along with the ceiling panels? No apology for not having cleaned the apartment or the proper follow-up. When we finally gave up waiting we returned to find they had cleaned the apartment; however the damage was already done and it was not possible to enjoy the apartment at all since all we remembered was the dirty sheets and dirty apartment, and we were left with a feeling the apartment was not properly cleaned nor sanitized as indicated. It really was an extremely discouraging experience and especially for the amount of additional money we had to spend to stay there. Some other noteworthy things - their directions to find the apartment is terrible! Do not follow unless you want to drive around the same block 3 times and still not find it. Drive down the ally they do not indicate in their instructions and look for an apartment behind the "normal" street side home, you will not find it otherwise!!

Lovely location 2 minute walk to beach and good value for money. Property in alleyway suggest you look on google earth to locate property as could be difficult to find. Car park space numbered.

Cottage needs some TLC and some redecoration and back yard needs sorting. Bathroom very small.

Great location, close to the beach, restaurants, LaJolla Cove. Clean and the on site parking made it very convenient.

House, linen's and towel's were all clean. Bed firmness was good. Wi-fi worked as expected. Overall size of place was good. Parking on the street was OK. Safe location to walk about at night. Ocean beach/view is 1/2 a block away. Nearby Café Vahik was EXCELLENT.

More towel's would have been nice. Bathroom sink is slow draining. Bulb in LR lamp not working. Very few convenient outlets to use. MAJOR ISSUE: The directions for alley parking spot and address location were TERRIBLE. The address isn't a real address from the street and the apt. is BEHIND the house. There were NO MARKING of the address from the alley or the street. A simple photo in the email or text message would have resolved this. Instead I had to make a phone call to Vacasa (no help from agent) and guess where this place was at 1AM IN THE MORNING. I didn't use the alley parking spot, bc details didn't match up. I didn't want my rental car towed if I was in wrong location.

It was hard to locate the property spent about 10mins looking for it. The front door keypad code provided in check-in details didn’t work. Had to contact customer service provided and wait on hold for about 10mins until connected with local property management staff. Eventually we were given the newly installed keypad code to enter the home. To our surprise it had no A/C which made it very uncomfortable. First night was very hot and humid. Thankfully on the next day of our stay a portable A/C unit was dropped off and plugged in for us by a member of local property management company running the home. The bed and bedding were not comfortable at all and the pillows were old and smelly. The property is very outdated and kitchen cabinets were dirty and sticky was definitely not what my wife and I had expected from this 4 night stay I wouldn’t recommend this property if you want to enjoy your vacation.

There was only 2 regular pillows on the bed. 2 other pillows had shams on them, therefore I believe they are not washed for each new guest. So 2 additional pillows that are for sleeping not decoration would be a great addition to a very nice spot!
