the Hotel Balambra Le Normont does not deserve 3 stars. I've had better expectations for the price I paid. I stayed in room 109 that had: an alive spider in each corner of the bathroom that also had dirty stoneware, very old and moldy windows, a dirty mattress with traces of old urine, the curtain was torn, the room was too cold for December: there were -2 degrees outside, the wind was blowing under the windows and the heater wasn't connected at all.

Good question! Maybe that the parking was free of charge? And that the staff at the reception was friendly.

I requested a quiet room and that was confirmed by the hotel. I arrived around 8pm and when I entered the room, it was very warm. There isn't air conditioning so shortly opened the window but had to close it due to cigarette smoke from outside. Unfortunately the room was at the beginning of the corridor and many quests walked past and with the thin doors and walls, all the noise went through. There was a party at night which caused a lot of noise disturbance. The neighbours made love 4 times during the night but luckily he wasn't an endurance athlete... The squeaking of their bed and her noises are disturbing! Room was facing the outside pool and many people went outside to talk, have fun and laughter and smoke. The window of the bathroom was dirty, had mildew and condensation. The parking area doesn't have good lightning and was overly full.

The room is smaller than it looks in the pictures. There was mold and a spider in the bathroom, which probably even bitten me at night because there were bite marks in the morning. The price is far too high for a hotel of this level.

Nice setting. It's a very large place with a main hotel and satellite accommodation buildings. Swimming pool, nice grounds. Secure on a night - fenced around and electronic gate controlling entry.

Restaurant not open but we found a really good Himalayan restaurant in the town.
