I booked this apartment, along with the main house (separate booking), to accommodate my small group of travellers for a fully exclusive getaway that we were seeking in the delightful countryside of Poland. I absolutely fell in love with the whole historic property - which Sara and Witek have renovated so beautifully, and loved what I saw in both the apartment and the adjoining house, so I booked both! I've booked a lot of properties over the years - but I have to say that I have never witnessed the same care, passion and stunning touches as I have in the efforts of Sara and Witek to make their places somewhere that offers such a signature experience in a stay for guests. They have really smashed it in meeting comfort needs with exquisite and characterful surroundings - I cannot recommend enough if you're looking for somewhere with enchanting vibes, but to have great facilities too - this apartment ticks all the boxes!
Everyone in my group particularly commented on, and enjoyed the balcony (a really nice feature of this place!) which looks out onto the pond/garden area - very relaxing and picturesque, with horses often playing and whinnying in the distance! Inside is particularly lush for how bright and spacious/open plan it is. You don't actually realise how big it is - but it will easily accommodate a couple for a luxury peaceful stay. Or a small family/group of friends where you would have ample space for chilling out/doing individual activities and not get under each others feet. The kitchen is very well kitted out, (I used it a lot for cooking for my party, as well as eating out at the many great local restaurants). In hindsight, our group was way small for the whole apartment (and house) that we booked, but we were travelling specifically for a creative photography holiday and thus really did appreciate how creatively designed and styled the apartment was. It's the fine touches too - from an artistic point we saw this right away... There's a LOT of effort that Sara and Witek have gone to in order to make this as nice as it is. :)
Communications from Sara were excellent from the start - it actually took us two years to get out to Poland for our trip because of the pandemic! Thus there were occasions where we had to reschedule as travel was limited/uncertain, and even though it's been an awful time for property owners trying to let - I have nothing but gratitude for the understanding & willingness to accommodate in the run up to our trip.

Tolle Ferienwohnung in schöner Umgebung
Die Mühle ist das perfekte Ziel für einen ruhigen Kurzurlaub.
Die Umgebung ist gerade Richtung Südosten landschaftlich wunderschön, im dem kleinen Wäldchen hinter der Mühle brüten unter anderem Pirole, die auch gerne mal zum Fenster hereinschauen.
Die Wohnung ist sehr hübsch und gemütlich eingerichtet, der überdachte Balkon perfekt für lange Sommerabende.
Der Umgang mit den Gastgebern Sara und Witek ist auch sehr herzlich und angenehm.

For children it is always fun time helping feed the animals and take care of them.
The Zoo in Goerlitz is very affordable and very much geared towards children.
Sarah and Witek have great tips for you in their binder, but also last minute trips are shared so you have lots of choices for daytrips.
We already know we will be back for another stay in the next couple of years.

Traumhaft schön
Der Ort hat alles für uns wonach wir uns gesehnt haben. Schöne Natur und Ruhe. Das Haus ist bestens ausgestattet über einen Pingpong-Tisch zu Billiard und Federball. Man kann also auch bei Regen etwas im Haus machen. In der Gegend gibt es viel zu sehen und man fährt nicht lange, Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder und sind sehr dankbar für diesen erholsamen Urlaub.

Cudowna okolica
To były nasze pierwsze wakacje we czwórkę. Szukaliśmy spokojnego miejsca gdzie ze względu na małe dzieci bedzie dużo ciekawych miejsc do zwiedzania w okolicy. I powiem tak - trafiliśmy w dychę. Zielono, spokojnie. Bez imprez i krzyków. Wystrój iście rustykalny czyli taki jak lubimy :). Dzieci zadowolone a to najważniejsze. Okolicę odwiedzimy jeszcze nie raz gdyż zwiedzania tam jest na minimum 2 tygodnie.

Wir waren das zweite Mal dort, diesmal in der kleineren Ferienwohnung für 10 Tage und haben es genauso genossen wie letztes Mal. Sehr erholsam und ruhig . Schöne Spaziergänge mit dem Hund .

Die ganze Mühle ein Traum!
Leider waren wir nur 3 Nächte da. Es hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Die Mühle ist sehr liebevoll eingerichtet und renoviert. Es sind unglaublich viele Spiele vorhanden! Ideal für Familien mit Kindern. Wir haben auch Küchenkräuter geerntet und uns Salbeitee gekocht. Vielen Dank für die schönen Tage.

Tolle Ferienwohnung im Grünen
Die Wohnung ist sehr geräumig und liebevoll ausgestattet. Das Highlight ist definitiv der riesige Balkon, auf dem man sehr entspannt sitzen und essen kann. Es gibt zwar 4 Schlafplätze, aber aufgrund des offenen Schnittes würde ich persönlich die Wohnung nicht so gerne mit 4 Personen nutzen, da die Schlaf- und Wohnbereiche Durchgangsräume sind. Zu zweit war es aber völlig ok. Wlosien selbst hat keine nennenswerte Infrastruktur, aber in (Auto-) Nähe sind tolle Ausflugsziele. Unser Lieblingsspot war der Berzdorfer See mit wunderschönen Buchten (Tagesticket für's Parken nur 3 Euro) problemlos auch mal zu umfahren als kleine Radtour (15 km). Schön war auch die Burg Czocha in Lesna, etwa 16 km entfernt. Ein nettes Kleinstädtchen etwa 20 Min. Autofahrt entfernt ist Luban.
Die meiste Zeit haben wir uns selbst versorgt, Supermarkt in etwa 4 km Entfernung. Aber dennoch können wir 2 Restaurants empfehlen: 'Zloty Ryb' in Sulikow (5 km entfernt, geht auch als kleine Radtour, man muss nur wissen, dass man direkt an der Landstraße fährt und es immer mal ordentlich Steigung und Gefälle gibt) und PP Roni (Pizzeria) in Platerowka, 4 km entfernt. Die Preise sind extrem niedrig, aber das Essen sehr lecker!!!
Die Vermieter Sara und Witek sind einfach reizend, ganz liebe Menschen, die unweit von der Wohnung (kaum 5 Minuten Fußweg) ihr Haus haben. Einen Abend waren wir bei ihnen und durften ihr einfach atemberaubendes Haus, das ein ziemliches Kunstwerk ist, sehen und haben ein bisschen mit ihnen gequatscht.
Wegen Corona hatten wir uns in diesem Sommer für eine Ferienwohnung und das Reisen mit dem Auto entschieden - wir haben es wahrlich nicht bereut! Wir hatten nicht nur unheimliches Wetterglück, sondern auch mit der Wahl unserer Unterkunft!
Wir können die Ferienwohnung definitiv weiterempfehlen!!!

a really great place to stay
The historic mill is an absolutely great place to stay - especially for famillies! Everything you need ist there. There are also many possibilities for children - and for adults - to play. We enjoyed the beatifully furnished and decorated apartement, the big balcony, the garden and the environment.

Es war so schön, fast unbeschreiblich
Wir fanden die Unterkunft, unsere Gastgeber Sara und Witek unglaublich toll. Alles war super sauber, wunderschön eingerichtet und fast wie im Museum. Sara und Witek sind unglaublich nett. Wir werden sehr gerne wieder kommen.

Die Fewo kann ich nur empfehlen. Wann wohnt man schon mal in einer alten Mühle ..., natur pur. Die bzw. das Zimmer ist sehr gemühtlich, mit Trödel bestückt und sehr sauber. Außer dem elektr. Mixer und einen größeren Kochtopf (Familie für 4 Personen etwas klein) haben wir nichts vermisst. Sogar eine Waschmaschine ist vorhanden. Familen mit Kindern dürfte diese Unterkunft wie ein Paradies erscheinen. Kinder finden viel Natur und für Schlechtwettertage Spielzeug im Überfluss. Einziger Minuspunkt wäre die Mülltrennung zu erwähnen. Es fehlt eine schriftl. Beschreibung bzw. eine Erwähung bei der Schlüsselübergabe. Ich bzw. wir haben uns in der Unterkunft sehr wohl gefühlt, konnten von dort viele Ausflüge zu Fuß oder mit dem Fahrrad unternehmen und verbrachten dort somit schöne Urlaubstage.

Urlaub wie in einem Life-Museum
Danke für das wirklich besondere Urlaubsquartier! Im Museum darf man sonst viele Möbel u.a. Gegenstände nicht berühren, hier durfte alles benutzt werden! Dazu Frühstück auf dem herrlich großen Balkon und viele Möglichkeiten des Zeitvertreibs im umgebauten Stall. Reiseziele gibt es reichlich, die Gastronomieempfehlung war hilfreich. Es war ein toller Urlaub.

My husband and I went on a few days trip to the mill and we very much enjoyed it! The whole house is a place to discover. Every room is filled with details from different countries, lots of books, statues, frames,... the style of the apartment is in line with all those artifacts, with lots of rugs, pillows and old but well kept furniture.
You can hear the birds and frogs singing or watch the horses or rabbits run by. There is lots of entertainment at the mill as well with billiard, darts, table tennis and other fun games. Or you just enjoy the garden with lots of upcycled elements.
We loved our days at the mill!
Also a good option for bigger groups (up to ten) or as a small couple / family.

Gorgeous house, beautifully equipped in an all nature environment with birds I have never seen before. The hosts are absolutely nice and helpful and there's a lot to see in the surroundings, if you wish to leave the garden with its lovely sitting places and funny sculptures. Only very tiny problem might be the steep stairs which lead to the flat and can be a challange for the very young, the very old or the family dog 🙄. Children will love the place with lots of playground and even rooms full of material, should the weather be bad. Bird lovers can watch owls, quails and golden orioles and listen to pheasants and whatever more birds which I don't know. Aside from the birds it's quiet, almost no traffic to be heard or seen. Alas, we loved the place and will durely be back some day! Thank you Sara and Witek, you are doing a great job!

We absolutely loved staying at the mill and felt at home right away. Located in rural quite surroundings and the appartment tastefully decorated its easy to start relaxing once you enter. Upon arrival we were welcomed by Sara and Witek and there and during our stay we felt their interest in making sure we enjoyed our stay. Sara and Witek has gone out of their way to make sure that you don’t get bored (if deciding for a day at the mill) since there’s several rooms filled with games and activities Rest assured that you can ask Sara and Witek for places to go, what to see and stories about Poland and the area. We had a lovely holiday in Poland and at The Mill and would love to come back soon.
And by the way... it was clean, in order and just right!

We had the loveliest week at this apartment. We used it as a home base and went touring through the country side. One of the highlights was deciding what country to go touring in each day. I would highly recommend this apartment. Sara and Vitek are very warm and welcoming people.

Z wyboru, naszej obchodzacej 21-urodziny córki, znaleźliśmy się w tym niezwykłym obiekcie o niepowtarzalnej strukturze architektonicznej wnętrza. Pochodzenia każdego elementu wyposażenia dużego i bardzo wygodnego mieszkania można szukać jedynie w dalekiej historii jak i odległych światowych kulturach. O ile zdjęcie obiektu budzi już zainteresowanie, to nietuzinkowość wnętrza wpisuje się jedynie w program odkrywczy koneserów i osób pragnących choć na moment zapomnieć o codzienności, cofnąć się w historii i wypocząć na łonie cudownej natury, z dala od cywilizacyjnego zgiełku. Nawet dom właścicieli obiektu znajduje się kilkaset metrów dalej. Naszym codziennym rytuałem stało się karmienie z ręki trzech przepięknych, oswojonych koni, kucyka i trzech osiołków. Jednak totalny szok przeżyliśmy, gdy korzystając z zaproszenia przemiłych gospodarzy, pani Sary i Pana Witka, zajrzeliśmy do ich prywatnej galerii w ich domu. Malarstwo, sztuka, architektura, rzeźby oraz instrumenty muzyczne z całego świata. Z każdego kąta trąci egzotyką. W żadnym ze światowych muzeów nie widzieliśmy takiej obfitości eksponatów zgromadzonych na jednym metrze kwadratowym. Tego nie da się opisać to trzeba po prostu zobaczyć. Do wyboru pozostaje jeszcze sporo atrakcji turystycznych na terenie Polski, Niemiec oraz Czech, bo tu właśnie spotykają sie granice tych państw. Byliśmy tylko 6 dni, to o wiele za mało. Napewno wrócimy w to miejsce. Urzekło nas swoim urokiem.

Comfortable, classy apartment
We really enjoyed our stay at this very comfortable and beautiful apartment. The beds were perfect and the bathroom is spacious. It is an open plan type apartment, (tapestries and curtains) can separate the rooms and it is quite nice and actually luxurious feeling. We would definitely stay here again.

We had the most wonderful time in Poland despite of the cold weather. The Wlosien Mill is a great place for kids to explore and play outside. Sara and Witek are the most lovely hosts and we had a lot of fun pony riding, hearing great stories about treasure hunts in the neighborhood and watching their impressive colllection of instruments and other curiosities. Very recommandable! Especially with kids. Some of the sights (as the castles) are a couple of miles away, so you should be prepared to go places in car.

restful break
We stayed at the Mill as a restful break on our journey to a wedding and it provided what we needed... peace , quiet and lots of lovely room to relax. We especially appreciated the balcony.
The apartment was delightful, full of quirky furnishings and a million miles away from corporate hotels.If you are planning to cook make sure it's simple fare ( suits our needs on holiday) as there is a two ring hob , but there is also a small oven and microwave .
The owners are charming and helpful . We did have problems finding the place... but our SAT NAV isn't the best... so be sure to have directions sorted out in advance.

Great, well suited to our needs, plenty of space, good location for exploring this part of Poland
We had an excellent time staying at the Mill House. Sara and Witek were very welcoming, and the apartment was spacious and comfortable. We used the location as a base for exploring the surrounding area. There is excellent walking in the Karkonosze mountains within easy reach, and historical sites such as Gross-Rosen and the fascinating city of Wroclaw are well placed for day trips; and there are numerous small towns and villages worth visiting. One can also almost accidentally find oneself over the border in the Czech Republic or Germany. For a first time visitor to the country, the quality and variety of Polish beers was something of a revelation, not to mention vodka of course. I would have no hesitation in recommending a visit.

Pretty, picturesque setting with a cosy atmosphere.
The apartment in the mill was lovely. Although there were four of us - 2 adults and 2 children (10 and 13 yo) - and the apartment was advertised to be suitable for three, it was perfect for our needs. We wanted a place that we could relax in after spending the days discovering the surrounding area and that is exactly what we had. I would suggest that a family that is close (or wants to get close!) would be best suited to this place because the only privacy is the bathroom. An open plan set up with a curtained off kitchen and meal area, there was a great living space for lounging and chilling. Kitchen was adequate but could do with some lighting over the stove. The bathroom was brilliant with a proper bath, good water pressure and lovely natural light. Lots of wonderful whimsical touches throughout with the furnishings and window treatments, and quaint crockery, which was a lovely touch (way beyond the typical IKEA you often find). Artfully and tastefully decorated with some wonderful pieces from the owners' travels. You had the feeling that the place was styled as if the owners themselves would want to live there. Some great guidebooks on Poland in the library that we made use of. BBQ area was also wonderful and we were able to use that a few times as well. Any issues (and there were hardly any) were addressed very quickly. Owners Sarah and Witek were welcoming and warm, offering some great stories and laughs when we stopped by Pigs End and the atelier for a coffee and some restaurants tips so we could use our remaining zloty. If you want to know the story about how Pigs End got its name, you will simply have to go and stay at the mill! A bonus was a welcoming bottle of Russian bubbly when we arrived, which is a reflection of our overall experience at the mill - warm and welcoming.

Surrounded by History...
We truly enjoyed staying in our spacious loft at the restored mill. Sarah and her husband were perfect hosts and entertained our children with a pony ride and the opportunity to tinker with a musical instrument collection.
The building itself was almost magical, with a beautiful stone façade and authentic antique furnishings throughout. We truly enjoyed the fine detail that went into converting this historic mill into a uniquely elegant and spacious living quarters.
We came with the intention of shopping for Polish pottery in Boleslawic, and indeed were well positioned within a 30-40 minute drive of some of the best pottery shops. The surrounding countryside is beautiful, and you will find yourself in awe of many of the historic farmhouses and buildings in the area.
I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a respite from city life, with ample room with intriguing furnishings and surroundings.
The kitchen and bath were also modern and all other amenities were more than ample. We hope to stay here again on our next Polish pottery shopping trip.

Peace and paradise
We spent 5 fabulous days in this appartment in July. We have two kids ages 5 and 7 and they absolutly loved it! The appartment is spacious, clean, comfortable and really well decorated. The owners travelled all over the world and brought home numerous furniture, dcorations, musical instruments and much more. All these things can be found through out the appartment and other surrounding buildings.
We loved the piece, the views, the area and the comfort of the appartment. The kids loved the horses and other animals, the wardrobe full of toys and the liberty to run around freely. All of us really liked Sarah and Witek, the owners. They are very warm, kind, funny, interesting and very hospitable people. They were always ready to help whenever we needed them.
Too bad we live so far because we would of come back to this fabulous place very often!
