Overall the hotel is fine

Free beach mats. Breakfast was fine. Room has a nice balcony.

If you want to experience some USSR life style you definitely need to stay in this hotel! Poor sea view. So the hotel is in Kazakhstan, but I did not see any sign or posters in Kazakh language. I'll have to report this to appropriate agency.

Pleasant

The room was clean and the air conditioner worked well. It had a balcony and good view of the Caspian Sea, which was nice.

The hotel is not in a good area. If you want to go to the Caspian Sea, go somewhere else, this area was very dirty and not developed. There was not free bottles of water or tea/coffee maker in the room. After 2 days we found out there was a kitchen facility at the end of the hall where there was water and tea.

Exceptional

Staff, food, quiet location. Large and spacious rooms. Just a few steps from the sea. Our flight was originally canceled due to inclement weather and we had to change the dates. The hotel okayed that without any penalties. Overall, I would stay there again for sure.

A bit far from everything, but if you're willing to walk along the sea front like we were, that's not a problem. It takes about 20 min on foot to reach the central part of the city. A taxi, of course, is always an option.

Good

It was quiet, the staff were nice. Breakfast was good.

It was cold a bit in the room. Though the sea is 3 min walk, it's better to ask the way from the staff otherwise you will stumble upon fence after fence. The location is a bit isolated (not much open restaurants or shops around), or maybe it was off-season so most of the restaurants were closed (October). Anyway taxi is cheap so you can go to any restaurant in town
