I think the room could have been more cosy. Can’t say it was cosy. It was functional and clean, but you wouldn’t want to spend time in it.

The room was spacious, with thortful touches such as homemade biscuits and eco toiletries. And a friendly Teddy bear. The bed was comfy and it was peaceful in the property.
The food was delicious 😋 and particularly great for those of us that are coeliacs...the owners really understand the condition and are very inclusive with there excellent food offering.

lovely stay, great room and our dog was made especially welcome. super friendly staff, excellent food.
my only suggestion would be a covering for the small glass panel on the door, it was quite light early morning.

Lovely place to stay near the coast, staff were very friendly and accommodating. The bedroom was spotlessly clean and there was a treat for our dog too! We'll definitely be back in the summer when the weather is better.

Breakfast was delicious with a huge selection and gluten free options. Restaurant for evening meal was fantastic. Lovely garden area with plenty of parking space in car park. Great hosts with lovely historical property. Room was private and perfectly suited our needs.
We liked everything - the only small thing was bathroom window does not open to enable ventilation but easily remedied by opening door of room.

Location was ideal .. .10 mins from Sidmouth sea front by car. A few local shops and pubs within walking distance. Nice dog walks and well kept shared garden for guests

Rather disappointed with the breakfast…..taste was rather bland, especially the bacon, and the toast was so hard we couldn’t cut it very well nor eat it. Scrambled egg was like an igloo, not scrambled…..

great for travel with dog. food and water bowl and towel provided. room ( rose) opened onto enclosed courtyard/garden so perfect for the dog.
the light came on in the bathroom automatically when you walk illuminating the whole bedroom in so I was woken several times in the night when my husband went to the loo!

Lovely old building and authentic decorated very comfortable bed dark and quiet room to sleep in
Loads of lovely little treats bottled water boiled sweets and chocolate Cookies nice fresh breakfasts.we stayed in magnolia room and was very nice

Great setting and facilities, the room was spacious and spotless with everything you need. Lovely gardens and the whole building was kept brilliantly. The best breakfast I’ve ever had, I’m 55 so that’s a lot of breakfasts to compare to.

Dinner in the restaurant was excellent
The first breakfast we had, the toasts were burnt (I took a photo as it was very black). When burnt toasts arrived again the next morning, I was very disappointed.
No standing shower and no curtain rail meaning that we had to sit in the bath with the shower attachment. Unusual nowadays

Warm, friendly welcome. Lovely rooms - Iris and Lavender, excellent breakfast and fabulous evening meal. Great service on every level.

Lovely breakfast with delicious burchers muesli and cooked breakfast. Enough to keep us going all day.
