Time to time internet was slow but l really liked the place looking forward to go again.

The kitchen area was very convenient and the fact that they had lockers in the fridge for each person’s food was great. Very helpful staff and a clean hostel

Geneva Hostal is in a very convenient central location, close to the Lake, and with good transport links into and around Geneva. I arrived by coach and it was a 10-minute walk from the Gare Routière. It is also close to the train station. Furthermore when going to the airport in the early hours of the morning I was able to catch an airport bus, the A2, which stopped in the street less than 5 minutes away. The reception staff were very helpful and friendly, and they arranged for me to take a packed breakfast given that I was checking out before breakfast was starting. I arrived at 11.30am, well in advance of check-in time, but it was possible to leave luggage free of charge at reception, or stay on the premises and use the lounge/hot desk facilities. The system of keeping your belongings in a large locker outside of the dormitories was handy and was a good use of space. Each bed had a light, and a few electric sockets, which I found handy for my devices. It was overall an enjoyable stay, and good value for money, so I will return there when doing a stopover in Geneva.

I was there when there happened to be a few school groups staying, and the kids had that air of "going abroad without their parents" for the first time. So they were quite excitable/noisy into the late evening. There is a laundry, which is handy if you have many things to wash. It would have been useful to have a place to hang up damp clothes to dry - maybe a drying room - as I only had a couple of items of clothing and so it wasn't practical to use a tumble dryer.

Very noisy with a central staircase that lets the noise from all floors travel. Really not good enough to be honest. There are doors onto the stairwell which should be closed at night.

La ubicación es buena, queda accesible y con varias formas de moverse. El lago esta a no más de 5 minutos. El precio esta accesible considerando qué te dan una pase para usar el transporte publico gratis e incluye desayuno gratis. El cuarto tiene lo necesario para descansar (no hay que olvidar qué es un hostal). Sin problemas regresaría.

Falta un poco de mantenimiento por ejemplo aceitar bisagras de las puertas porque rechinan y puede ser algo incomodo.
