We (ages 63, 40, 40, 38 and 11) thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Lakeview Villa where we arrived on 16 July and from where we left on 4 August 2023. We found the villa to be exactly as advertised - large, airy and beautifully located above the lakeshore with far reaching views over the large pool and the garden towards west and the sunset. The villa is a bit of the beaten path - but that ensures privacy. While we valued the privacy, we did visit Galle Fort, Weligama Bay and the Koggala coast which are all just a short drive away. We have been treated extremely well by house managers Sonali and Lasantha who both made sure that we did not have a care in the world. As other guests have remarked, we to have fond memories of Sonali's cooking. Truly excellent hosts. In short; I cannot recommend Lakeview Villa enough. We hope to be able to return.

Lakeview Villa is a truly magical place, it really made my heart sing. The views are idyllic and the villa itself is built to make the most of the location, everywhere you turn you see a different aspect of the view. Our 3 children LOVED playing in the garden and we all loved watching the monkeys swing from branch to branch as we swam in the pool. In addition to the villa itself the staff at the villa are truly fantastic. They are kind and went out of their way to make our stay special. Sonali's cooking was delicious and she made meals that we could sit down and eat together as a family, all of which were very tasty. Thanks so much, we will definitely be back!

We spent several days at Lakeview Villa enjoying the peace and tranquillity before heading to Far Horizons on the coast. The villa, more of a colonial mansion, sits on the shores of the large and impressive lake at Koggala. The villa contains every creature comfort that you could ask for. It starts with the wow factor of the infinity pool overlooking the lake as soon as you walk through the front door and just gets better. Four large en-suite bedrooms, all with stunning views and a multitude of places to sit, relax and unwind making the property ideal for those wanting to get away from it all. There’s even a cinema room, very popular with the children. Lesley was there to welcome us; she was great during the booking, and she left us with Sonali and Lasantha who take complete care of you, Sonali’s cooking is something else, just amazing. We loved our time at Lakeview and would love to visit again, for longer next time. I would highly recommend a stay at Lakeview for utter peace & quiet.
