Wir waren das 2. Mal in diesem Haus. Es gefällt uns alles sehr gut. Wir haben nichts zu bemängeln. Die Lage, die Ausstattung, der Parkplatz, die Möglichkeit der Poolbenutzung…..

It is in an ideal location to explore the camargue.

La Paloma is situated near the centre of Aigues -Mortes and within a gated community. The apartment is very well equipped, the wi-fi is very good and the facilities are excellent. I would recommend it.

The apartment is somewhat spoilt by all the notices everywhere - and I do mean everywhere! Its a bit like wandering into a care home where residents need to be told what everything is and where it lives. Does anyone really need to be told what compartment of the cutlery tray held the knives, the forks , the spoons..... I did think that this would be a great place to come if I was unfortunate enough to have dementia, I would know where I was. All the notices are in French which means that if you don't speak the language you can at least ignore them. This is odd considering that the apartment is listed on an international website and so La Paloma probably attracts people from all over. Maybe it is only the French that need to be told not to drink hot chocolate in bed! The only thing that did not have a notice was the somewhat hidden electricity box which we needed as we lost all power one night after a thunderstorm. I had to enlist the help of a kindly neighbour to show me where it was. The pool was a great disappointment. We had envisaged some lazy days by the pool but there are no loungers, no umbrellas, absolutely no shade and in temperatures of 39 degrees celsius you would fry on the hot tiles. Finally you need to be aware of the hefty 700Eur deposit if your home currency is not Euros. This a lot more than most properties I looked at asked for. It has to be in cash and of course it means that you go home with money you cant use and its expensive to change it back. Having said all this, we had a great holiday, its well situated for Nimes, Arles and Montpellier as well as the long sandy beaches on the Grand Motte. (take your own umbrellas though) - La Paloma has one you can use and the local supermarket sell them for 29Eur.

Property was clean, spacious and very well equipped. The location was well situated for access to the old town.

Finding the property was tricky as vegetation has been allowed to grow in front of the property number obscuring the name les rives de la tour which is actually quite large lettering. The street numbers are quite random and non-sequential.
