Villa Monte - the owner Wilrik was a pleasure to deal with from booking to leaving. We were a family of 8 adults and 5 children. The villa layout and accommodation was perfect for us- great bedrooms with good bathroom/ shower facilities and excellent kitchen/lounge and dining area. Beautiful sea views, fantastic pool, spacious covered terrace and patio area to enjoy having fun! A 5 star experience for our whole family!

From the day we arrived to the day we left the villa and host was brilliant. Wilrik looked after us so good. The villa was so clean and the views were superb. Heated pool was amazing. This is the best villa we have stayed in for many years. Would recommend to anyone. Will definitely book again for our Spanish golf trips.

Me and my family, seven grown ups and one baby, went here to the Villa owned by Wilrik in our honeymoon trip. A fantastic villa, clean, beautiful, spacious with all the facilities you need and with a really nice swimmingpool. It is situated really well, quiet and nice, with polite people around you. We do reccomend this destination for anyone who is looking for a nice and calm vacation. And we will definitely return here!

A group of 10 of us attended the villa for a long weekend toward the end of September. Wilrik wasn’t available to meet us but his colleague, Francisco, stepped in to welcome us and show us around. We were all delighted with the property and after stocking up on food and drink from the shopping centre, a short taxi ride away, we were quickly settled and took advantage of the fantastic pool and ample sunbeds. We had a couple of trips to Fuengirola by taxi and a walk down to the beach bars and restaurants at La Cala de Mijas. The walk is pleasant until you reach the main road which is a dual carriage way that you need to walk along. The beach is great though so it is worthwhile, although after a few drinks in the beach bars we did get a taxi back. The Frog & Co restaurant a few doors down from the villa had good food and was a nice option if we didn’t want to travel any further. The villa itself was a site to behold, dominating the road and offering good views out to sea. With ample room we never felt on top of each other although we did spend the majority of time around the pool which is a great size and depth, and heated should you need it, we didn’t as the weather was fantastic. Wilrik was there to see us off and ensure we’d had a good trip, very friendly and a nice touch. A 5 star and strongly recommended villa that I’m sure we will struggle to match next year, so we might well be back!

The villa was beautifully decorated and there was plenty of space for 10 people. The kitchen had all the neccessary equipment, although I would bring a knife sharpener with me. We didnt always have to cook ourselves or leave the villa to eat, because it was possible to order pizza to the villa. There was a small restaurant near the villa (Frog and Co.) which had amazing food and excellent service. A large group should notify advance if they are coming to eat. Otherwise it was better to go somewhere further to eat. The villa located nicely near Fuengirola and the center of La Cala de Mijas. We traveled by taxi, because it was relatively cheap. We bought our groceries from a large shopping center Miramar which had great shopping opportunities as well. The beach was very near, although we liked our villas pool more. Wilrik was always available and he replied fast and kindly. In addition, getting and leaving the keys in Spain went smoothly! We really recommend this villa! Its hard to find a better one!

Thank you for making this whole stay so smooth and pleasant! From the first contact to the actual stay in Villa it was an exceptional experience. Our family (12 people) had a wonderful week - with the perfect view in a beautiful house and (in late March maybe one of the most important things) a perfectly heated pool. We enjoyed our time a lot and would love to come back again!

The property is a great size we had 3 families of 4 and we're really happy with everything. The kids loved the pool and it was a good size. The apartment is equipped with everything you need. We didn't hire a car as were there for a week and just got a taxi to the larger supermarket to stock up on food. Taxis offered a great service and would pick up in minutes. There is a supermarket and a few bars in walking distance and feungirola is just a short taxi ride away with a great beach and shops and restaurants. The owner and his colleague Geraldine made us very welcome and wanted to ensure we enjoyed our stay, which we most certainly did

We had a very nice stay at the Villa Monte ... the arrival from the airport was not so far and the villa is idyllic with a fantastic view to the mountains and the sea ... the distance to the beach is in 10 minutes walk very good To cope ... also the connections are good and shopping possibilities and restaurants are in the immediate vicinity ... we were 12 persons and had a great room division, with the large number of baths we got along well ... the stay possibilities are very good ... we could all sit together together and relax - on the terrace and also in the living room ... the food in the large group was not a problem, it has many seating areas whether in the house or outside, also the grille corner Invites you to a cozy evening ... the kitchen is very large and has all the necessary appliances and utensils ... all bedrooms are very spacious and nicely furnished, The beds comfortable ... the outside area with the large pool, which was heated up to a very pleasant temperature, is pure luxury ... also the sufficiently furnished couches, invite to relax ... the view is unique and with its Lovely design and planting just fantastic ... we had a great week in a very nice ambience and can recommend it to everyone ... the landlord was very open and friendly and always around our well endeavor ... we will definitely the Villa to rent again ...

Our family are spread throughout main land Europe and the UK and met up at the 'Palace' for Christmas. The property was exactly as described and spotlessly clean. A welcome pack of essentials (includindg wine!) was very much appreciated. Wilrik ,the owner, was available, friendly and very helpful from our initial enquiry all the way through to departure. The equipment and furniture are all of excellent quality and the heated pool was a real luxury. I can fully recommend this super property.

A great house with room for a big community and large enough for everyone to "be themselves". Beautiful view and in a nice area with walking distance to the water and interesting tourist attractions. We all thought that the standard was very very high. Also meet and greet was a pleasure and a warm and informing welcome to the Villa Monte. We hope to be back in Villa Monte some day!

I would like to thank the owner for renting his beautiful Villa Monte to us during our summer vacation week in sunny Mijas from 16 July to 23 July 2016. From our very first contact to him in October last year to our leaving the Villa 23 July 2016 the correspondence with him has been characterized by a professional and swift exchange of communication and we have all the time felt that we were in contact with an honest and diligent landowner. The Villa is indeed impressive and the layout with four different levels starting at the Villa entrance at ground floor and ending at the top master bedroom combined with different charming outside places continued to positively surprise us. The Villa is in all aspects well-functioning both inside and outside and everything is well maintained. The outside area provides the ability of enjoying a beautiful view over the sea during daytime and nighttime. And we enjoyed the calm and friendly neighborhood. The newly renovated kitchen area with state-of-the-art appliances, dishes, glasses etc. accommodated to the full extent our family’s (9 adults) needs for facilities to serve breakfast, lunch and dinner and handle the dishwashing afterwards. We had a fantastic week in Villa Monte and we do not hesitate to recommend potential tenants to embark on a journey in villa Monte.

The Villa Monte is beautifully located with magnificent views of the mountains and Mediterranean. The neighbourhood is lovely and quite safe . It is close to several towns like Malaga, Fuengirola, Marbella and Mijas Pueblo. The villa is spacious and the rooms are well appointed the beds are comfortable. The kitchen is fully-equipped with a full-size oven and hob, refrigerator/freezer with ice- maker. We spent a lot of time on the upper patio area which was comfortably furnished for lounging. All of us loved the swimming pool and nobody wanted to leave. I highly recommend renting Villa Monte!

Villa Monte was a stunning house with a wonderful view. It was very spacious and provided ample living space for 11 people. The neighbourhood was peaceful with a number of good restaurants within walking distance. I would highly recommend this 'palace' and is a great holiday destination for everyone of all ages.

We rented Villa Monte for 2 weeks in July 2015 and we were very satisfied with our choice. The villa has the capacity for a big family, 7 adults and 2 kids. What makes the villa a good match for our family is a lot of things: The location, half an hour from Malaga airport. Walking distance to the beach, buss, taxi, restaurants and a few shops. The location, the quiet neighbourhood and no traffic. There is shelter for wind from the west, and because of the height, often a fine breeze which gives a cooling effect. The outdoor facility under the roof and the pool. The functional kitchen. We did not rent a car, and found the public transport system very good in combination with taxis. There is a taxi central/office down by the resort. They are very service minded if you need a more spesific tour and e.g. a babyseat provided in the taxi, which many taxies did not have. The owner, Wilrik, always there to answer if you have any questions.

Vi landet i Malaga og hadde bestilt oss en minibuss som kjørte oss til huset. Vi var en storfamilie på 10 stykker som var der en uke, 6 voksne og 4 barn fra 2 til 9 år. Huset passet veldig godt til vårt behov - stor stue, mange soverom og et fint basseng. Utsikten fra verandaen var fantastisk. Vi satt om kveldene og så utover Middelhavet. Stor og fin grillplass og sofa gruppe ute på verandaen. Huset lå i et veldig rolig strøk – støyen vi hørte kom fra oss selv. Vi var også veldig godt fornøyd med huseieren, han svarte raskt og hyggelig på alle henvendelse.

We had a lovely week in the beautiful Villa Monte! The perfect house for a large family; spacious, convenient facilities and a great outside area. Also, Villa Monte is located in a quite area, but close to the beautiful beaches of Mijas and Marbella. The owner is very service minded and professional, and ensured a smooth check-in and check-out process. We highly recommend renting Villa Monte!

We rented Villa Monte for 1 week in May 2015 and we were very satisfied with our choice! The villa is like a palace and we were so pleased to have an elevator to bring our luggage (pram and groceries) up to the main floor. The views from the villa are breath taking and certainly the villa is a great place for families. We did not hire a car and had a taxi collect us to and from the airport (€106 return from malaga airport transfers), however, it would be advised to have a car to go and collect groceries and to bring garbage/recycling to the public waste area about a 5 minute walk away. The pool area was very relaxing and it was certainly worth having the pool heated in May as you could go swimming at any time of the day. We were a group of seven with a 7 month old baby and there was a cot provided and plenty of space for the at least 2-4 more people. There are a few steps to different floors of the villa, so if you have toddlers you may need to keep a closer eye on them. The kitchen was a great size for cooking family meals and it was great to have the ice machine and filtered water. We took a taxi to La Cala de Mijas to see the Wednesday market and I would highly recommend this. (Taxis only cost €8 one way.) I would enthusiastically recommend Villa Monte if you want a villa that is peaceful, scenic and luxurious. Wilrik was very attentive and a great owner to deal with. We look forward to visiting again!

We have enjoyed 8 dans in this wonderful House with a fantastic vieuw over The sea, A landscape where we had wonderful walks And a Beach almost for ourselves There were room in The House and The Ground for all og us (12 persons) and we enjoyed The heated swimmingpool very much.

Our party of 9 were received with a warm welcome from the start. Villa Monte cannot fail to impress. It is in real life more impressive than the picture shown. There is plenty of room for all not to impose on each other. The lift was a great help for both carrying passengers and for transporting shopping to the ground villa level. The views from the villa were spectacular as was the Costa itself. A great week had by all in our party.

We were 8 adults staying in Villa Monte in April 2014 and we had a wonderful week. The villa was just perfect with the pool area, the terrace with a fantastic seaview were we had breakfast and dinner and the large bedrooms, all with private bathrooms. Very good located, not far from the airport and close to a lot of nice golfcourses. We highly recommend this villa to both families and couples. We´d love to go there again!

Villa Monte lived up to expectations and more!! There were six adults and four teenagers in our party (3 generations) plenty of room for all of us. Kitchen modern and very well equiped a beautiful spacious lounge, dining area, not forgetting the terrace and of course the large heated swimming pool - a wonderful time was had by all - nobody wanted to leave! The views from the terrace are breathtaking, hills to one side and the the lighthouse and sea in front. A thank you to Wilrik for his help on our arrival.

We rented the Villa Monte the first week of october 2012. We were a total of 9 people, 7 adults and 2 kids. We came by car, and the house was very easy to find. The owner was there to welcome us and gave us a quick guide trough the house and the beautiful surroundings. The house has a spacious dining room as well as living room, and the kitchen is large and very well equipped. All bedrooms are of good size and with comfortable beds. The outside area with the large pool (that was heated to a comfortable temperature) is a story of it's own. Beautiful lounge and terraces, and a breath taking view over the Mediterranean. We had a great sunny week, and the house couldn't have been more perfect. I would definitely recommend this home to everyone. Both the house and the owner met all our expectations.

We were a family of 7 adults and we all lived there for two weeks quite comfortably. The villa is well maintained, has everything you need and more and is well situated to go anywhere in Spain or even Morocco. The train station is in Malaga and can take you everywhere in speedy trains. A car however is necessary to go to the markets and visit other sites non accessible by train. There is however a bus service which is very good also leaving from Fuengirola or Benalmadena. Beaches are near by. The one you can walk to is not that great but a few minutes walk or drive can take you to wonderful beaches. The house is situated up on a hill and has wonderful views. The area around the house is just beautiful and safe to walk at night. There is a pub/restaurant down the hill which is very British in meals and language, the owners/waiter hardly spoke Spanish. The food is good if you are tired of cooking. We did most of the meals at home and was great to eat fresh every day. We would have liked to have a gas BBQ but we accommodated ourselves by using the range in the kitchen to do some grilling. The kitchen is well equipped and seemed fairly new. Make sure you do not leave any sweet bit of food on the counter and that you clean it well before going to bed or you will wake up to an ant invasion. The bedrooms and beds were quite comfortable and there was air conditioning throughout the house, not that you needed it. The living dining area is quite large, well decorated, quite comfortable and is just like the photos provided on this site. There is a small pavi There are several flights of stairs to the main house but there is a small elevator that can take you to it as well. We used the stairs most of the time but it is great to have the option for an elderly person who can not go up that many stairs. We used it for bringing the grocery bags up. Sitting on the terrace was the most pleasant part of our stay, the weather during those two weeks was just perfect and we ate outside and we relaxed all evening near the pool and looking at the bougainvilliers and breath taking views. When we arrived from the airport we missed the entrance to the area where the house is situated and we got lost. The entrance is almost as soon as you pass El Faro. However Wilrik, the owner had provided us with the phone number of his caretaker who was so kind to come and get us. We followed him home. It was nice to know that he was close by and a phone call away if we needed help.
