I stayed in a bungalow, right on the river. I enjoyed the view, the sound of the river, and watching kids playing in the water. A/C was a must, since Laos was going through a historic heatwave. The bed was comfy. Bike rental for 1 USD per day is nice. Noy was a great hostess, very friendly and an excellent cook!

The number given on Booking.com is not for the guesthouse! I tried to contact them before arrival and received a response from someone who is not even on the island. This is a problem because no information was provided before or during check in. I arrived at night. I stayed in the bungalows. The guest house is 50 meters down the road on the right. The restaurant and office are 100 meters down on the left. This should be explained to guests before they arrive! I had to walk from Don Det (long story) and then had to figure out how to get in the room. It's a short and pleasant walk to the restaurant but I shouldn't have to do that just to get the wifi password. It would be nice to have a piece of furniture or shelves for my clothes. I had to live out of my bag.

Riverside wonderful location and very large room but moved over to Nongsak g/house since stayed 20 days and it was a lot cheaper. Kettle and coffee in rooms nice plus.

Balcony facing the water, the bed was confortable, the other vacationers were nice.

The shower was actually too hot! I would have appreciated getting bottled water every day. The cleaning lady brought some water one day but even though I was told it would be brought to the room the other days, it wasn’t.

Airco didn't work, I missed that. Breakfast nothing special.

We stayed in the garden room for one night without aircon as it was the only room available and we needed a cheap place to stay. Everything was okay but i would def. recommend to book with aircon during this time of the year.

Location right on the river was fabulous. A great sized verandah with furniture was ideal to watch the world go by, locals fishing and children playing in the river. Very close to places to eat The aircon worked well. Breakfast was simple but we enjoyed it at their restaurant 50m away. If the score was based solely on location and view - 10!

The room was very dark even with curtains open, or lights on. The mosquito nets had holes in them.

lovely spot on the Don Khone, really peaceful and quiet. the island itself it’s much less crowded and more quiet than Don Det. Hosts were very friendly and keen to help arrange any trips or activities and onward travel! nice breakfast included. rooms were large as were the en suites. the terrace was a lovely place to sit in a morning. bikes to hire and quick laundry service; both reasonable prices.

if you want to be closer to bars and more nightlife, then probably look at Don Det, even with a bike it takes a while to go between the two and after 6:30pm it’s dark and there are no street lights. the shower isn’t very powerful but it is hot!

The back bungalow (not on the riverside) was lovely and spacious, good value for the price. There is a nice terrace to hang out. Good bicycles for rent, for a cheap price. Really nice vegetarian options in their menu. We ended up staying for 10 nights :) location is very nice, a short walk/bicycle ride to the falls, the beach or Don Det.

The included breakfast was kind of boring, and almost every time something went wrong with the breakfast items. Not very good service in the restaurant, maybe because of language barriers with some of the staff.

Family and stuff amazing. Great location, beautiful view of the river.

The riverside bungalows are perfect. They have a beautiful view from the front verandah, they’re lovely and clean and are very comfortable. The bathroom works well too!

very comfortable bed. good location as Don Khone had more to see, however further away from more restaurants but still plenty near. able to hire bikes easily. very friendly family who owned the property. breakfast included. helpful with transport to next destination.

had to pay extra for aircon however it didn’t cost much per night and was worth it.

It instantly felt like home, nothing we asked was ever to much for them. This place will be your new home before you know it!

No safety,I come with a bike that i rent at the other island for 4 days I asked if it's safe to leave it where the bikes for rent of the Guesthouse were parked, they sei yes,bat in the morning when I wanted to go around my bike was not there! I think that they rent it. Inside the room it was impossible to lock valuable things,because the lock was broken,I told them, bat they didn't reacted. Water,toalete paper and towel yust the first day
