Such a friendly happy Team. nothing too much trouble, will definately be staying again. Amazing venue, so much more than just a hotel.
Nothing of note other than the weather and they can not cotrol that.

The historic, but modern rooms in the manor house, the fabulous spa, the friendliness of the staff. The quality of the food. Amazing views and garden.
Some little touches missing like someone to help carry bags up 3 flights of stairs, no bed skirt, meaning you grazed legs on twin/double bed latch, no shower-gel (although spa provided some kindly).

It is not a spa hotel itvis a bed and breafast with spa attached which is paid for seperate and only 2 hours not a relaxing break at all.The full English breakfast thrown together with what felt like whoops ingredients from supermarket.There is nothing to eat after 8.30pm all though they have website saying come dine in our hotel.I would recomend you look,read and think twice before booking this place as a relaxing spa retreat.Even the beauty salon couldnt do what was advertised as doing..

I liked the location
google chrome cast didn’t work luckily I bought my laptop with me when I asked for help to connect to google chrome I was advised that it was down to the new owners not investing properly and that I would have to deal with him (hotel receptionist) as they don’t have a hotel maintenance engineer. also the air conditioning was very poor. I also found faeces on the towel therefore I notified the receptionist who completely ignored the fact that I said this by saying oh I am sorry about that and didn’t offer me anything in addition to this. housekeeping practically forced me out of my room as they kept knocking advising me they are busy which was not acceptable.

I liked the view from the window in the room. I liked the location of the hotel. I liked having a sofa in the room. Tea and coffee facilities good.
At breakfast the coffee machine was broken and no alternative was offered. The cushions on the bed had a very bad odour which made the room smell dirty. The room doors do not shut quietly so sleep was disturbed by other guests. The mattress had seen better days and was not as comfortable as expected.

Restaurant staff really good and the hotel is very clean
We couldn't use the pool as it was busy and it does state when booking that hotel residents can have access to the pool. The location is very quiet and we only booked as it is advertised as hotel and spa. If you don't use the spa there is nothing to do but stay in the room. It is a relaxing hotel and should be advertised differently. We were disappointed as we wanted to use the spa.

Gift for my birthday and first time going to a spa. Loved every minute of it. Asked for room service breakfast to the room for 0930 and it was on time no delays. The food was delicious.
The spa treatments, people and the hydro pool area are was lovely!
I don't kow what I was expecting but it definitely exceeded my expectations ☺️
Would visit again!

The hotel looked lovely but we never got to see the room that we booked.
Our room not being ready at the agreed time of 3 pm on the day of arrival. This was already a late check-in time but we changed our plans to fit in with the late check-in time of 3 pm. At 3.40 pm we decided to leave the hotel as our room was still not ready. We had planned to meet up with our friends at 4 pm to celebrate my wife's birthday which was now ruined.

Spacious, modern and clean bedroom with very comfortable bed
Lacking atmosphere in the lounge area, didn’t feel like you could sit and relax. Lots of young staff who were polite and helpful but were inexperienced. Slow service; poor attention to detail. Dinner reservation was not recorded and created confusion when we arrived for our table. Restaurant lacks ambience and atmosphere, but the food was very good. Breakfast service was very slow, lots of guests complained about the service. The food itself was good.

Room was great with spacious bathroom
Breakfast service was poor. Took a long time to be served and even longer for food to be brought to the table, despite there being no more than 6 people seated having breakfast.
Also prior to arriving it wasnt made clear if i would have to pay for use of the spa. By the time i wanted to use the spa i was told it was full for at least 3 hours

The bed and room facilities were very good however better quality pillows would have made our stay even better.

The setting was lovely and the staff were friendly
The main meal was cold. The waiting time for a drink at the bar was silly, about 15 minutes for a beer and a wine. I asked for bbq sauce and they brought me brown HP sauce, for a burger. The breakfast we had to wait for for half an hour before we could order and still I had to call a waiter over to take our order. Far too much “Avocado purée” on the toast. The spa was nice for about half an hour until a group came in and was so loud we had to leave.

one manager especially was very rude and behaved as though we didn’t belong there
