The staff was really good and supportive. The location was one of the best and you have direct access to the beach by walking a few meters. Being located at the centre we could cover many destinations on both sides of the apartment. Very close to public transport and good connectivity.

We stayed in room# 12 and 13 which had a couch in the living room and there was a shelf right above the couch. Though we were careful a couple of my family members were unfortunate to get hit on their head. Very painful. It would be better if the edges were cushioned and protected. Being on the first floor the internet connection was very poor.

The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The room was cleaned often and was very comfortable. The beach and restaurants were easily accessed from the hotel.

The locks to get back in were temperamental, probably due to the heat. The pool was small so if others were using it, you couldn't really go out there.

The provision of UK TV channels is excellent. Friendly, helpful staff. Close to decent supermarkets and restaurants.

We had a wonderful stay at Apartamentos Tarahal. This complex is SPOTLESSLY clean, and all COVID protocols are adhered to thoroughly. The memory foam mattresses are very comfortable, as is the sofa. The TV with many German and British channels is useful when the weather is inclement (which, in Gran Canaria, is almost never!). The apartment has everything you need for a relaxing self-catering holiday. All utensils, crockery, cutlery and washing-up liquid and new sponges are supplied. It is also a short walk from Clinica Roca bus stop, from where express bus 66 will get you to the airport in about twenty minutes (a bit longer from the airport). On that point, whilst the buses are new and technically you can pay by contactless, we found that the readers were not always working so keep change on you. Regular buses take you to all points of intetest on the island, but taxis are also very cheap unless you are going to the airport or Las Palmas. It is only a two-minute walk to the beach, and we appreciated the quiet and non-touristy location. The sheltered balcony with a table and drying rack is well-sized, and we had a side sea view - it's a wonderful place to chill. There is a great bar / restaurant on the beachfront called Relax Beach Club, which has excellent food and super-friendly staff. We went there twice, and in typical Spanish fashion the drink measures are extremely generous :-) A special thank-you to the super-friendly and kind Marta, who promptly contacted me on WhatsApp to confirm our flight number and check-in time. There was a huge hold-up at the airport, so it was great that we could keep in contact that way.

Improvements? Only three things come to mind: - The Wi-Fi really needs fixing. Others have also made similar comments. I read the thorough instructions about this, and despite the signal being strong enough at certain places in the apartment I could only connect at 4am, and even then only for a few minutes. This therefore appears to be a network capacity issue. Luckily, I had plenty of mobile data allowance and the reception was acceptable. - You need to stagger shower times. The hot water tank is small. However, the pressure is acceptable. - It would be helpful if motion detectors are installed in the stairwells. At night, we found ourselves struggling to find the light switches, as they were not lit up. Someone could fall over.

Excellent location easy to walk to the beach, shopping centre, cafes and restaurants. Quiet location. Large balcony with sea view in the distance. San Agustin is quieter than some of the other resorts. Parking was free and easy to find places to park. We enjoyed sitting on the rooftop sun terrace and going down to the beach. Apartment was well equipped for self catering. Apartment was cleaned every 2 days with clean towels and sheets every few days. A high standard of cleanliness. We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 weeks exploring Gran Canaria.

Internet by hotspots is extremely bad. The speed, if you are at all connected, is between 5-6 mbps. The connection jumps between different hotspots and every time you need to log in. Extremely frustrating. If you need good internet do not choose Tarahal! The swimmingpool is small and always in the shadow. The furniture is worn and apartments need to be updated.

WiFi dreadful. Needed to use it for work and it was impossible. The accommodation is very bright, clean and cheerful but a bit of maintenance would make such a huge difference. The toilet wasn't attached to the floor and wobbled a bit and the seat, although very clean, was really worn out.

Location was good, close to the beach and shops. It was fairly quiet, good wifi and all the amenities needed for a few days. Staff are very nice.

No soap in the bathroom for hand washing. Unexpected friend on the first night (cockroach). Reception was closed during checkout time.

We would rate our stay at this hotel 12/10 and would absolutely return, it is exceptional value for money. We were welcomed warmly, given wonderful advice about the area and help booking tours and trips for our holiday. The hotel was very clean and well maintained, the simple studio room was spacious and had more than everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Amelia at reception was exceptionally accommodating and always there to help. The hotel is very close to the beach, our room had views to the sea and we spent a lot of time on the rooftop solarium for the fantastic views. The pool is small but very well kept and clean. Next door to the hotel is Time, a lovely italian restaurant and a 5-8 minute walk away is San Agustin shopping centre with crazy minigolf (very fun) and plenty of restaurants, bars and a food market. Very big flat, with a bedroom, bathroom and nice living room plus kitchen. A plus for us was the terrace, where we could sit to have a drink after curfew, that during that week was at 22h. It is very nice that they provide dish soap and sponges for the kitchen, so you have at least the basics! There are a lot of parking spots just before the building, they were always 80% empty, but I am not sure about the availability of parking in a "normal" situation (no COVID-19), as it is very central in San Augustin.

Just a very minor point, it would be good to have had at least some hand soap, but there was no soap/shampoo provided.
