If you are looking for a holiday that gives you relaxation, birds singing and shining stars at night then this is for you.. A small Cypriot village away from the crowds, is where you will find this delightful property. Well looked after by Nicholas who gives you a very warm welcome. This is our second visit to this charming property, we always feel very sad to leave. The welcome pack is by far the best we have received in a holiday home. The property is clean, the bedding fresh and comfortable. It takes about 30 minutes from Larnaka airport. Thank you Rosanna and Nicholas for an amazing holiday….

Wir haben das Haus mit einer Freundesgruppe von insg. 7 Personen für 1 Woche gemietet. Check-In und Check-Out waren sehr unkompliziert und flexibel, wir konnten spät in der Nacht einchecken. Die Kommunikation mit Rosanna vorab war super. Das Haus ist wirklich wunderschön und geräumig, inkl. 4 Bädern und 3 Schlafzimmern. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt mehr als genossen.

We have had a wonderful winter break at the property. It was quiet, clean and in a lovely area. The layout is a bit strange, but when you hear the history you understand why... Loved getting Almonds straight from the tree, also saving the bees that wanted to drown in the pool. The shower pressure was fabulous. We would go back Ian and Lorraine

We had a lovely week at the House of Achilles. It started with a warm welcome from Nick, who left us some groceries and gave us a tour of the sparkling clean house. (He even came out to say goodbye, meeting us at the house at 3:30 in the morning!) It’s set up as two independent homes right next to each other on the same property. My teenager really enjoyed having his “own place” and I think it would also be great for two couples traveling together or a multigenerational group of travelers. The location was perfect - not too far from the airport, close to a bunch of great restaurants but not in the middle of tourist madness, and with a lovely view. Parking was convenient and a grocery store about 10 minutes away. Strongly recommend.

We spent a wonderful week in this amazing spot and couldn’t have been happier. Rosanna was very helpful with the booking and communicated efficiently. Rosanna and Nic were so kind and thoughtful in making arrangements and setting up their beautiful house to suit our family’s needs which we really appreciated. Nic meet us there for check in even though it was so late and was very thorough in explaining everything about the house and making sure we were happily settled in. The house has been renovated to a very high standard with lovely details and is simply and tastefully decorated. We have also never seen such clean accommodation! The house had everything we could need. We loved the crisp white sheets, sparkling pool, relaxing on the lovely loungers and eating almonds and figs straight off the trees. All in all a beautifully thought out home in a charming and authentic village made for a memorable family holiday! Highly recommend. Thank you!

We absolutely loved our stay, the house is charming example of traditional architecture updated with modern conveniences. Set in a quiet, friendly village it was perfect for us to relax as a family, 5 kids and Grandma with us, and have much needed down time. We took some pleasant strolls through the countryside in the valley below and enjoyed the clean, fresh pool every day. The courtyard and pool are completely private which was an important factor for us. Nick was super friendly and helpful and Rosanna quick to reply to any of our questions. We definitely hope to come back and would encourage anyone who wants to truly relax and unwind in a private setting to book the House of Achilles.

The House of Achilles is a wonderful place to go for a holiday. The house is beautiful: clean, airy, bright, and private, with all the amenities. This stone-built house is situated in a private, idyllic setting. Located between Larnaca and Limassol, and a short drive to governors beach, the House of Achilles is the perfect location. Nick, the Manager of the house, is welcoming, kind and helpful.

just as advertised, a very nice house in a village of central cyprus. well-kept and superclean. thanks to host nicholas for the food in the fridge on the first night and for looking after us (from a comforting distance). big rooms, very nicely decorated, good kitchen with everything in. and in November you can even harvest some almonds... thanks again and all the best, Andreas for the 4-men-group

We had a lovely time at the House of Achilles. It is a beautiful traditional house set in a lovely village. There are a few local shops in the village and a great bar in the square where we went for a Cypriot coffee every evening. Khirokitia is perfectly placed for visits to the coast, towns and places of interest. We headed into the Troodos mountains using very local windy roads, stopping at local village bars for coffee, where the owners would pull up chair and talk to us. We also had a trip to Nicosia, which is fascinating. To satisfy two teenage boys wishes we took them to Waterworld which was extremely popular as were the sandy beaches beyond Larnaca and a trip to Kolossi castle. I think The House of Achilles is unbeatable and I am so glad that I came across it. We can't wait for a return trip to visit more fascinating places and relax by the pool. The House of Achilles - grosszügig gestaltetes und liebevoll eingerichtetes Ferienhaus. Sehr gepflegt und sauber. Jedes Zimmer mit eigenem Bad. Wir waren Selbstversorger und waren froh über die gut ausgestattete Küche (großer Kühlschrank mit Gefrierfach, Backofen, Waschmaschine, Spülmaschine). 1x wöchentlich wurde die Bettwäsche gewechselt. Ausreichend Sonnenliegen vorhanden. Das Wasser im Pool war sauber aber sehr kalt, sodass wir ihn leider kaum nutzten; das Meer war von den Temperaturen her viel angenehmer. Wir (4 Erwachsene und 2 Kinder im Alter von 5 und 7) hatten das Haus Anfang Oktober für 2 Wochen gemietet und von hier aus mit dem Auto unsere Ausflüge (u.a. Governor's Beach, Kourion Beach, Paphos, Agia Napa) unternommen. Die Autobahn ist in der Nähe und alle Ziele sind recht schnell erreichbar. Im Ort selbst befindet sich ein kleiner Lebensmittelladen, für größere Einkäufe gibt es in Skarinou (ca. 10 Minuten Autofahrt) einen sehr gut sortierten Supermarkt mit großer Auswahl an Obst und Gemüse und frischem Fisch. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt im House of Achilles sehr genossen; auch die Umgebung mit alten Olivenbäumen und Granatapfelbäumen hat uns ausgesprochen gut gefallen. Alles in allem ein sehr schöner Urlaub!

We loved to stay in the traditional house on cyprus, in this beatuiful village. The are quite a lot of nice tourist areas however it does not give you the full cyprus experience compared to what we enjoyed in Chirokitia. There are a lot of arquitectural abberations all over the island. However this house was renovated in a very beatiful way, all stone walls and floors with nice wooden floors well. Als furniture and facillity is kept tradional but very modern and comfortable in a very nice simple and beautiful aestetic. The water is solar heated and you mostly do not need air con, especially in the apartment on the ground floor. The village it self offers a lot of nice small shops (bakery, butcher, supermarket) and a nice restaurant up the hill. Large supermarkets are close by as well, however you should check out the other villages around like Tochni and Zygi, for local shops as well. We went diving from Larnaka (Wreck dive), Kite surfing around Mazotos and for a little hike in the mountains . The village is perfectly located between Larnaka and Limassol and even the not to far away from the mountains. A car however is recommended even if buses are quite good on the island as well. Thanks a lot Rosanna and Nicholas for this amazing place on cyrpus. We had friends one evening for BBQ and even they were kind of jealous. Highly recommended by the 6 people who just arrived back home. We really wanted to take the house with its trees and pool with us. We'll be back. Thanks a lot, Christian

La maison est très bien, grande, très propre, bien équipée. Les pièces sont spacieuses et agréables. Une salle d'eau par chambre avec douche très appréciable. La piscine est très agréable. La literie est moyenne (matelas à ressorts pas très haut de gamme). Les désagréments maintenant : Une basse-cour au sens large (coq, poules, canard, chèvres etc ..) est juste derrière le mur d'enceinte de la maison avec les bruits mais surtout les odeurs très gênantes pour manger dehors le soir et parfois le matin. De plus, la climatisation, indispensable en été, semble incluse dans le prix de la location (voir descriptif) or un supplément nous a été réclamé pour l'électricité et l'entretient des climatiseurs (80€) pour les 2 semaines. Mesquin et surprenant vu le prix de la location. Devrait être beaucoup plus clairement expliqué dans l'annonce. Le loueur parle d'une erreur de HOMELIDAYS .....

The most beautiful house in Cyprus :) it was perfect stay

We rented Xanthus, so a part of the House of Achilles and loved it. The accomodation is very homely, spacious, beautifully designed and well managed. The village is also very charming and centrally located to make excursions all over Cyprus. This house deserves a recommendation as the owner and manager pursue many quality efforts to make this place a joy for visitors, so you feel invited to reside here as if it where your own property! We (6 adults and an infant) had a great time staying at the "House of Achilles". The house is very well maintained, all details thought through which enables guests to feel very comfortably at home. Nicks availability rest assured any requests we had were immediately answered. I recommend anyone who looks for a quiet country side accommodation in very high class to stay at the beautiful House of Achilles.

Our stay at House of Achilles was perfect! The house, location, village and hospitality of Nicholas were fantastic. We absolutely loved the house and it was great to come back in the evening for nice refreshing dip in the pool. We wished we had more time for our stay and hope to come back. Wir waren in diesem wundervollen Haus mit unseren vier Kindern zwischen 7 und 16 Jahren. Es war eins der schönsten Ferienhäuser, die wir je hatten und es ist noch viel schöner, als auf den Fotos zu sehen: alles sehr geschmackvoll und mit Liebe renoviert und eingerichtet, alles blitzblank sauber, sehr großzügige Räume durch die nachts der kühle wind bläst, wenn man will (wir waren im Juli da und es war nicht zu heiß). Nicolaos hat uns wunderbar empfangen und betreut. Er liebt das Haus und das merkt man an jedem Detail. Im wunderschön gestalteten und bepflanzten Innenhof ist man ganz abgeschieden für sich. Aber man ist gleichzeitig mitten in dem sehr schönen, ruhigen Dorf mit zwei kleinen Läden und einem Kafenion (1 min. zu Fuß, es gibt Eis für die Kinder). Alle Leute im Dorf waren gastfreundlich, interessiert und sehr nett. Wir haben uns im Dorf richtig willkommen gefühlt. Für Leute mit sehr keinen Kindern vielleicht ein Nachteil: Von dem einen Schlafzimmer kommt man nur zu den zwei anderen, wenn man kurz durch den Hof läuft (fürchten sich die Kinder nachts evtl. vor?) und der Pool liegt natürlich im Zentrum des Hauses. Sonst alles perfekt. Wir können das Haus wärmstens empfehlen!

I stayed with here with my family (Wife, 3 small children and mother) for a week. The location was really great base to explore the entire island. The house itself was prefectly clean and inviting and suited us perfectly as it is split into 2 sides, so if the Adults were staying up late, we could put the kids to bed on one side and visit outisde or in other part of the house. Nick, the property manager was great and had picked us up some nice groceries when we showed up which was a great unexpected touch, and he was always there to help out if needed, but was never in the way. As far as improvments go, the reason I gave only 4 stars was that there is no internet which would have been nice, and the beds are not too comfy. Everything else was perfect.

Starting with Nick, who was working his ..s off cleaning up the house,at the time we arrived . We were early and he send us to governors beach. A few words he said, swimmingsuit and water, thats all you need. At that moment i already knew it would be great. And it was. The house is fantastic and really well maintaint. The kids enjoyed themselves and gave us no change to sleep off late, because they were ready to take a dive in the pool at 7 each morning. We really enjoyed the surroudings and had a great time on our daily trips. The house is perfectly situated. Daily trips to Limassol, Larnaca etc will take you just a half hour to get there. We really enjoyed our time with Nick who is always there when you need him. Its a definitely yes that we come here again , whenever we travel to Cyprus.
